Creating counter showing number of selected choices that updates dynamically?

I've created a multiple choice question, where multiple answers can be selected. The list of possible choices is quite long (~100), so I am trying to create a counter that will display the number of answers someone has selected, and I would like it to update dynamically as respondents are making their selections. Is this possible?

I'm not having any luck trying to adapt the Javascript code found here: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/144/how-do-i-show-the-number-of-words-in-text-entry-boxes-i-have-several-on-the-page

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide!

Just to give some more information...

The counter is embedded in the question text through "rich content editor" source section.

I am having the same issue. I have a multiple choice question for which I want to display the count of selected choices in the same question text. I am using ${q://QID7/SelectedChoicesCount} but when I test the survey it does not show anything for the piped text.
Many thanks for any tips, suggestions, guidance

Can anybody help me how I can display the count of selected choices on the same page as the multiple choice question but in a seperate question as well? Adapting the "VAR QID" in @Mohammedali_Rajapakar_Ugam JS does not work.

Many thanks for any help!!

MohammedAli_Rajapkar this is great! Do you know if there's a way to pipe-in that number to the next question? Or for example add it in a logic?
What I am trying to do is depending on the number of countries respondents see they will see the respective number of the document upload fields. Hence, need to build a logic around it. Any suggestions?

Hi Mohammed! Are you able to attach the QSF file again? It is no longer appearing in this comment chain.
