I'm editing the stop words for a word cloud in vocalize and I have removed every contraction I can think of that contains an "n't" element yet it is still appearing in my word cloud. Vocalize seems to recognize it as it's own separate word. I also added the pieces n't, n', and 't to my stop words, but it persists. Has anyone found a way around this? Does anyone know why it is not recognized in my stop word list?

I know that the word cloud builder uses a system that actually looks at root words, rather than the word that was actually typed. It uses that so it can group things that are similar, like "pony" and "ponies". I don't know much about how it would handle contractions. Maybe call support and report back?

Here is the reply from Qualtrics support:

I wanted to follow up with you in regards to the n't issue. There are 2 different apostrophes ' & ’ . The stop word feature in Vocalize uses the second version.

In this case, you should be good to go once you add this n’t to your stop words.
