Hello,I'm using the survey flow logic and I want to branch people to select questions if they've input any type of non numeric string into a form field response. It appears the only way to do this is by checking whether their input matches the regex code for any non numeric string. E.g. if they enter 11001000000They would not match the regex. If they enter$100One hundred$1kThey would match the regex. I've tried just about every variation of strings, non numeric, character match regex and none of them seem to accomplish this. Is there any suggestion for a regex to do this?The survey flow logic states that "If question # matches regex ^[]$" show block. Thank you!

Hi, I'm trying to add descriptions to response options when you hover over them. From what I've seen on the board, the code to do this should be: <span title="Response option description">Response option</span> This does not appear to work, am I doing something incorrectly? My immediate thought was that the theme may determine whether or not this works? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Best, Ian

I have searched the community and haven't found the answer I am looking for.I followed TomG's post (https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/42451#Comment_42451) to create 3 show/hide buttons in my form for a conference.I was able to get all 3 buttons to work perfectly but they all remain open when you click on each one, therefore, you need to click the button to close it. Is there a way to close the "open button" when I select another button? Hello, I've tried searching, and found one person asking the same as me, but the JavaScript suggested in the answer doesn't work. I have six options for a question, and I want to ask people to select their top three from these options, in ranked order. The previous survey software we used would let us do this by using a lickert scale, but only showing 1, 2, and 3 as column headers, and limiting the number of options that could be selected. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to do this on Qualtrics. The closest I've come is a drag and drop rank order, but this includes all six options, or a lickert scale from 1 to 3, but I can't restrict answers to just three options. I feel I must be missing something, as this is a common type of question, but I am totally stumped as to how to get this to work. Any help is much appreciated. By default the details will be hidden and on clicking the button it should toggle between displaying the details and hiding it again. Hi all,I'm trying to insert a consent form (PDF) into a survey and I was wondering if there was any way that I could make it so that the survey as a whole shows up on one question block as a scrollable PDF instead of a link that leads to the form? They don't need to be able to click/edit it, just scroll through it.I've tried inserting it as PDF, picture, and as an RTF file to no avail.Thank you!

In the Data & Analysis tab, you can export a single response to a PDF. Is there a way to export all responses to PDF instead of going through each one individually and saving and/or printing?

I found out that one thing I'd like to code - embedding an external website into the Qualtrics survey, so that while doing the survey, respondents don't need to open a new tab - I can use an "iframe" for.This does work quite well on another platform, namely limesurvey, when using the following code:" style="width:400px;height:400px;">In Qualtrics, being in the survey project view (where I add and edit questions), if I put the above code into the "Rich Content Editor" - "HTML View" of a question or text field, this does seem to work. Hi everyone, For questions where it makes sense (e.g. single choice questions), I would like to automatically forward to the next question to make the survey faster. Hello community! I use the following CSS code to style the next and previous buttons in a survey. Right now, I just look if the text fits the button in the mobile version and then adjust the width of the box.The problem is that the survey is in several languages and some translations of “next” are longer than others.I would like the box containing the "next" and "previous" text to dynamically adjust according to the lenght of the largest text. For example, "previous" has 8 characters, and "next" 4. So both buttons should be large enough to fit 8 characters. Hello, I am working on programming a conjoint survey experiment in Qualtrics using the following example: https://github.com/leeper/conjoint-example. However, I am unable to set the choices shown to survey respondents as embedded data using Javascript. I have tried a variety of approaches, and nothing seems to be working. I have a Javascript array called a_list which contains the list of attributes for option A shown to survey respondents. I am sure that a_list contains the proper information because it is properly displayed with the question. I am trying to save a_list to embedded data as a single string variable, as in the above example, using Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData("traits1a", a_list.join("|"));. However, traits1a always shows up empty in my data.(1) I have defined the embedded data at the beginning of the survey flow (prior to attempting to set it using Javascript). Dear all,I am completely new to Qualtrics and the community. I have developed a survey that will only be used by Desktop users (mobile compatibility is irrelevant). When looking at the preview, I realized that my horizontal 7-point Likert scales are not displayed entirely (16pt font size for questions and answers). Instead, users would have to scroll to the right to see the 7th answer choice. Obviously, I would like to avoid that at all cost. Time for the 2023 version of our favorite question - how to implement select2 with ajax data in Qualtrics!From Qualtrics, I need to pass the study site selected on the form to my API and get back a list of study participants to put into a select so the desired participant can be selected. What is the proper way to do this?I tried making the API call in the Survey Flow, setting an embedded data variable for the data coming back, and pointing the select2 ajax data at it but that is not working. The API is sending the data in the correct select2 format (https://select2.org/data-sources/arrays). I can see it in Postman. But nothing is showing in Qualtrics.I also thought I could call the API from the select2 ajax URL but I don’t know the syntax for sending the Qualtrics parameters to it on the URL so bailed on that attempt and came here.I followed this 4 year old article for the basic setup so I have the correct header css/js, question type, and question JavaScript.  Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.

I'd like to add static text after the text entry box. I want to include "@[company].com" to make it clear the respondents should enter their ID rather than their entire email. How can I add this after the text box?

Dear Qualtrics Community,I'm a bit new to Qualtrics and I believe I may need some custom code to make certain features work. I currently use matrix table where the statements on the left are essentially my survey questions and respondents are asked to answer them in the form of the drop down box located to the right of each question. The challenges that I have is that because the default width of qualrics survey seems very narrow (it looks like it can hold up to about 14 words per line), my survey questions are squished to the left and look cluttered because some questions take up to 5 lines. My main questions are as follows: (1) How do I widen the survey window in general so that I can fit more words into one line, and therefore, make the survey look not as long? (2) How do I have control over the width of these statements? Is there a way to specify that for each question, I only want 3 lines maximum so that the entire page does not look so cluttered? Hi!I have uploaded a video into my Qualtrics presentation (not from YouTube, but simply uploaded from my computer) into a 'descriptive text' box. My presentation involves randomisation both within and between blocks, which has created some issues. I need the video to autoplay, but I haven't been able to do so yet. The questions answered on this topic seem only to relate to videos embedded from YouTube, and the custom codes don't work for me. I am wondering if someone has ideas of how I could achieve this?I would also like to remove the play/pause buttons from the video (same issues as above). Further, I can't get questions to autoadvance (from the look&feel motion section) since the randomiser is in place. Does anyone have tips for this?Thanks in advance!

I've got a couple of questions in my survey that have multiple choices check boxes and I would like to implement a "Select All" option so that survey takers don't have to check every box to "select all". See example below:

I’ve seen in some older forum post that note it is not possible, however I still want to ask in case there has been an update to the platform….Is there any way to reverse code SOME items in a matrix table? I have about 10 items ranging on a Likert scale of 1 to 6. However, some of these items need to be reverse coded. Is there a function that allows me to do so?Or do we have to manually reverse code after exporting the data?
