How to distribute (personal link based survey via external mailer?

Hi All,

I have a question regarding the integration of Qualtrics with an external mailer; in this case specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Currently my firm use Salesforce as our CRM database, and using the Salesforce connector we are aiming to integrate this with Qualtrics, allowing for us to easily automate the process of surveys being fired out upon certain customer actions. However we also wish to be able to use personal links so that feedback can be mapped back to Salesforce at a per customer level.

Now this is fine, but we also have our own email distribution platform - Salesforce Marketing Cloud, whereby we would like data from the contact list (such as names, embedded contact data fields) and importantly personal links to be pulled out from Qualtrics and automatically mail merged into survey email invites within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Is this possible with Qualtrics? I have not been able to see any information within the FAQs section on the use of automating the personal link creation and exporting out to an external mailer, and unfortunately have not been able to get much useful information from our Customer Success Manager at this stage.

Any useful info will be much appreciated!

We do this with Marketo but it's a manual process for us. I create individual links and we upload them as a token in Marketo. We also have (separately) customer actions that automate and generate surveys from SFDC but for that, we have to use the Q mailer and not Marketo.

As far as I've been told, there's not a way to automate individual links through an external mailer.

@Omar ask your CSM to put a Marketing Cloud specialist on the call with you. It took us ages to explain that Marketing Cloud is not following the same rules as Salesforce integration, but once we have broken through the wall of "but we have an out-of-box integration with Salesforce", we have received some answers.

Thanks @Jencx & @Mslreen for your help on this. We have had a bit of a headache trying to get SFMC and Qualtrics to be integrated. Still in the process, but it seems like it will be a ad hoc solution.
