Course Evaluations: Student Reminder Emails failed!

Our Student Reminder Emails for Course Evaluations weren’t distributed or sent out as scheduled this Spring 2025. Any other campus experienced this recently?

The Course Evaluations Admin webpage, that lists Recurring Course Evaluations, displayed “completed” for our (4) scheduled Reminder Emails. But students reported not receiving any messages from Qualtrics about course evals. This was just confirmed by our IT too. Other things have failed before but this is a major blow to our response rate. I haven’t yet heard from Qualtrics Support so anyone else know what happened?!

My university does not use Qualtrics for course evaluations - but we did have a period of time last fall when all emails going out of Qualtrics stopped working (so no survey invitations, no survey reminders, no auto-emails generated by survey responses).  Do you know if emails have been going out outside of the course evaluations?

no problems with regular Qualtrics so far. surprisingly all our faculty emails were sent and just the student invitations, but no reminder emails were sent to students.

We experienced a similar issue with Qualtrics distributions for our course evaluations.

We are a Google Workspace school and think that when Google depricated “less secure apps” it broke our existing “Basic” SMTP relay configuration in Qualtrics. We then set up a Google OAuth2 application using a service account and configured the SMTP relay to use that OAuth2 application to facilitate the connection between Qualtrics and our Mail server.  This did not resolve our issue. After working with escalated Qualtrics support our SMTP relay configured with the OAuth2 application magically started to work. We’re not sure what caused it to be fixed.
