Dear all, I am running a few surveys and in some of them all of sudden the following message appears in the Data & Analysis tab “We are generating the prepared dataset for you and this will take some time”. I have not created any test/prepared dataset and this is stuck at 0%. In the meantime I cannot export my results neither through the web nor through the API. Do you know how I can stop this process from running?
Hi all,I'm wondering if it is possible to redirect someone from a Qualtrics survey to another web site (in this case, so they can complete a task on that web site that would not be easy to incorporate into the survey) and for them to then be redirected from that web site back to the same survey. (I would also need to send an ID code from Qualtrics to the other web site, but that's a separate issue.) Any information would be helpful - thank you in advance.Chris Dickinson
Within my survey, I have 40 blocks (in a Group) presented in a randomized order which each contain:A timing question A statement on Topic A (Text/Graphic question type, NOT text entry) A statement on Topic B (Text/Graphic question type, NOT text entry) Only either Topic A (Question 2) or Topic B (Question 3) is displayed (randomized within the block) A multiple choice question with recoded values A different multiple choice question with recoded values Questions 4 & 5 are two different response questions to the statement displayed (2 or 3), and do not change in content based on statement displayed or block. There are a couple of different angles I’ve been trying, but the goal is to be able to collect, without manually clicking through each response, which statement type was displayed in 2/3 in each block. We are a B2B organization.Currently we have a process where the Account Manager can trigger invite to the customers themselves and use a survey, lets name is SERVICE MANAGER SURVEY to do it.At any time, the invites are easily tracked and reported against responses (which get captured in another survey say HEALTH CHECK SURVEY).We have a dashboard that fetches data from these 2 surveys for Invite vs Response analysis.We are now doing a pilot run of central triggering of invitations for some of the customers (Distribution via SEGMENTS).I am currently exploring a way to automatically populate the successful invites trigger from distribution to populate the SERVICE MANAGER SURVEY.Kindly let me know if there is a way to do so.Thanks in advance.Regards,Neha Tank

I’m getting the error message, “Header cannot be empty,” when I am trying to upload my participant file to our project. I feel like I have followed all the steps to prepare the file for upload. Is there something I’m missing?
Hi I am preparing to import 8 historical surveys, i am unsure if i should load the historicals in the new survey that we will launch so they map automatically in the dashboard or if it is better to load them in a historical project in case something goes wrong and the responses need to be updated. The historicals have all the same questions but in the current survey we will divide by region the surveys to make the permissions to the dashboard more straight forward. Any suggestion of what should be the best path?
Hello,I am using simple layout. I have a form field with two inputs, both are set to display default choices of 0. This works as expected. When the respondent clicks into one of the fields, I would like for the 0 to disappear (instead of the respondent having to manually backspace or delete the 0).In the question's JavaScript, I am using the following code, but it isn't working (I do have the jQuery call in the header). I'm guessing below code needs to be modified because I am using the simple layout. I have one question with several hundred options (respondents will not see all these options – it’s just the easiest way for us to organize a loop and merge table). I would like to set Quotas such that we have x responses for each answer to the question. Is there a way to do this that is faster than just making a quota for the 1st response and copying and modifying it for the subsequent hundreds of responses?Any tips appreciated.
Hello, I have a survey with many repeated videos. 16 blocks each containing 75 videos. The videos are repeated each block and are embedded (hosted on youtube). Would referencing the first instance of the videos (block 1) through pipped text for all subsequent blocks instead of having the videos embedded repeatedly throughout improve buffering and loading time? I’m trying to find ways to reduce loading and buffering time. Any response is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I wanted to move my organization away from using the ‘automations’ tool to do data uploads into the XM directory and move towards using workflows instead. I wanted to know if it is possible for to set up ONE workflow to upload MULTIPLE files that are stored on the Qualtrics File Service into the XM Directory. This might seem like a straightforward answer, but we ran into this issue we had with the automations tool in which there was a file size limit for each automation (I believe 250MB). So, in turns we had to set up multiple automations to upload all our files which is not scalable. We wanted to move towards using workflows because it seems like a more intuitive and scalable solution, but I wanted to make sure before I move forward with this solution.
Hi there. I have both DOB and Entry Date as metadata in my lifecycle surveys. Simple layout version. I’ve had java in there to calculate the age and tenure in years, but it doesn’t seem to work in the Simple layout version. I also want to capture the year and month the survey was completed but this is also not working. For some tasks, I can see that you can just select the task you want the data from, instead of pushing it via fields in the extension, like this:How is this done, and is there anyway I can see what is needed to make data available for the Basic Transform task for example, or how to get data from it?How do you define or access data sources?This seems to be a much better way to do this rather than passing loads of user data as raw text in an export.

I will conduct an online survey targeting both students and their parents. The parent survey is distributed through the school managers and the students take the survey within their school. Our objective is to guarantee that the parent survey is exclusively completed by parents, without any involvement from students.we are looking for measures to prevent students from accessing and completing the parent survey. By looking at the patterns, can we determine that the student filled out his own survey and the parent filled out his own survey? More clearly: Can we detect any behavioral as well as answer similarity across student and parent survey? Or is there any other method you could provide to address this issue such that students don’t attempt to take the parental survey?

I have a dropdown where a user selects their school at the start of a survey. I have an embedded variable called CID that I pass through a URL variable. This tells us which school district is filling out the survey so like 12345 is Sample School District.What I am trying to do is when the survey sees that CID variable it filters the list of schools in that dropdown to only show the schools for CID 12345. I have a supplemental datasource uploaded that would accomplish this (CID column and School column) but it appears I cannot do what I want using that list in Qualtrics. (Javascript is an option but it requires constantly modifying the values in the list on each survey and we have many so far less than ideal)In poking around, it sounds like the only way to do it is to involve a web service where the survey would send that CID which the web service then sends back the school names that match the CID it receives. Hi, I have a CX survey for which we want to implement a good close-the-loop process - a.o. we are using Action Plans. Unfortunately, the current dashboard functionality for CX Action Plans doesn’t offer an embedded data field for a link for every Action Plan. There is an ID /recordedID that contains part of the URL but the full URL for every Action Plan can only be copied from the browser.Has anyone an idea how to automatically generate a URL that would allow to use this link in the corresponding CX Dashboard?thank you!
Hello, in my survey there are different questions that require text entry answers. I want to be able to combine the text answers in Text IQ to analyze. i tried to create an embedded field that would combine these answers but it does not seem to work when i try to pull the data in Text IQ. has anyone been successful with this?
Dear community, I’m creating a survey where participants face 5 comprehension questions.They have overall 3 trials to answer all 5 questions correctly. Otherwise, they skip to the end of the survey.What I would like to do is the following:They try the first time If they correctly answer the question, they move to another page where they see the correct answers in green and the wrong ones in red On this second page, they do not have to insert again the correct answer, but only the wrong one.Is it clear? do you have any suggestions?Thanks
Hi!Guys do you know what would be the best path to send responses to a data lake?Would it be better to recommend an SFTP or an API?Especially taking into account there are embedded data fields that should not be share with the data lake so which one would give us more flexibility and safety to avoid confidential information to be send out.
