I am looking to fetch the Embedded data fields from the directory of a customer based on a Customer ID that is currently existing in the XM Directory after the customer fills the survey link which is anonymous and shared via a third party platform with a query string attached with customer id.

Use an authenticator. Pass the query string parameter value to authenticate automatically. Now you have all the directory data.
You'll need to store the customer ID as external data reference for this work.
