View Individual survey links

I have a workflow which imports contacts, with a number of embedded data fields, daily through the Qualtrics File Service. It then uses an XM Directory task to add these contacts to a mailing list, and distribute the survey via email to each contact.This task uses individual links to send the survey. The survey will have some individuals who receive the email, but never complete the survey; in fact, some won’t even start the survey. In this case, for both individuals who have started but not finished the survey, and also for individuals who never even clicked the link in the email, I need a way to view the link that they received (effectively, a way to complete the survey for them). I was wondering if this is possible? Do I somehow have to switch over to using personal links, which isn’t even an option for XM Directory Tasks? or is there some functionality i’m missing. I thought of using Q_URL as an embedded data field, but this would only work for contacts who actually start the surve

i want to set up a logic based authenticator for a EX survey. We want users to use SSO for participants that can authenticate via SSO and if they cant then simply use their email address to authenticate and respond to the survey.

Hide radio button for one multiple choice option only in one block

Hello,I have a task for which I need to present 4 images next to each other horizontally, under the question text. I did this by writing the question text, and inserting the 4 images as multiple choice question answer options. The leftmost (first) option is not actually an option, but is a ‘target’ the other three need to be compared to. I want to hide the first radio button for these questions so that it is obvious that image is not an answer option. I tried CSS, however I cannot apply that to just one block of my survey. I tried JavaScript, however I have not been successful. I would appreciate any insight into this!Thank you!

Issue with button font size

I tried creating a new message for the text that appears in the Next button, and saving it to my library. While the update does apply, it seems to display all the HTML (or whichever programming language?) with the button text. It does this whether I change just the text size (which was my aim) or also update the font as well. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I saw an image in an old post with this same problem from 5 years ago, so I’d guess it’s some sort of persistent Qualtrics issue. It looks like this:

API update responses (when a ticket is created) with a standalone workflow - bringing surveyID

There is a way to have a standalone workflow to update responses when a ticket is created (I don’t want to configure several workflows). I can do it easily when I manually input the survey ID.I’m bringing the survey ID as ticket data, and I also tried to create an API to fetch that information, but it doesn’t work.

Action Planning & Dashboard

Hi Everyone.  I’m hoping someone has faced a similar issue, and can help me rectify.  I have been working on an Employee Survey, with a dashboard page showing the action plan summary, which is split down per department.  I’m having as issue because not all of the actions plans seem to be tracking to the dashboard correctly. For example, one of our departments has 10 action plans created, but the dashboard is only showing 4.  I’ve checked the permissions and the metrics for the dashboard and individual who has loaded the action plans onto the system. I did see that some of their action plans are in progress, but at 0%, but this hasn’t been a factor in the past, when counting for the overall actions plans.  Does anyone know how I can fix this issue, without having to do an action plan export and count on Excel?

Insights on brand development

Hello! I’m new to the XM Community and have worked in CX for over a decade now. I’m intrigued by the ever evolving nature of this field!According to Qualtrics 2025 Global Trends Report, trend 1 reveals a decline in loyalty among customers even as brands spend more. As an independent consultant for small businesses communicating the value in investing in brand development is difficult especially as it may not bear fruit until later in the future. Scoring project blocks linked to library blocks

My survey project is using question blocks that are linked to corresponding library blocks. When I go to set-up the scoring in my survey project, it says that the blocks are "locked" and I'm unable to select any of the questions to include in a score category. Is there a way around this?

Workflow to update EX Directory?

Hi,I would like to build a workflow,so that after an employee replied to a survey,a field on their employee data in the Employee Directory is updated.In the workflow builder, I can find (multiple) tasks to update fields in the CX Directory,but none of them seem to be able to connect to the EX Directory.Is there any way by which I can achieve this? Thanks,Joyca

One to One Matching using Participant ID in Smartriqs Dictator Game with 3 conditions

In Smartriqs I have seen and tried the Dictator Game with 3 conditions and corresponding 3 stakes. There the matching is based on Participant ID and participants are matched in pair randomly. Now I am designing a survey where I want to incorporate this Dictator Game with 3 condition. But the change will be in participant matching. Suppose we have 12 people in our experiment. All these are husbands and wives that is 6 married couples. I want to make sure when the matching is happening in the Dictator game, each husband is matched with his wife only and make the pair. Not with any other’s wife. For example, Husband 1 (A1) should be matched with Wife 1(B1) and Husband 2 (A2) should be matched with Wife 2 (B2). We can not allow cases where Husband 1 (A1) is matched with Wife 2 (B2) or Husband 2 (A2) is matched with Wife 1 (B1) or match between two husbands or match between two wives.I want to know if it is possible to create such condition by editing Java Script or is there any procedure t

Using Javascript to force response on dropdown questions in Javascript/HTML table?

I made a Javascript/HTML table which has multiple dropdown questions (labeled as "dropdown1_left", "dropdown1_right", etc.) within the table that I want to be required. I have not been able to figure out how to make this work. Below is my code for this specific function. When I take the survey, the console log says “Listener must be a named function.” so this may be causing the problem. When I hit the next page button, I do get a pop-up saying “Please make a selection for all required dropdowns.” but it still moves on to the next page. So some level of the validation seems to be working but ultimately not the most important part (I want it to not allow users to go to the next page until all dropdowns are answered).Any thoughts on how to make this work? I’m pretty new to Javascript and especially using it in Qualtrics so I am hoping to learn how to code this in. Javascript code to set validation using the previous selected options and current rank oder

Hi all, I am new to javascript. The validation rule I want is that respondents pass current Rank Order if the options ranked in the last two positions of the current Rank Order question are the same as the options selected in the previous Multiple Choice question (both questions have identical options and corresponding recode values). If this condition is not met, the respondent should see a warning (like a forced response message in red text below the question) when they click next. Undefined question when importing .txt

I am designing a survey with a large number of nearly identical Likert scale questions. Because it would be arduous to copy in every question, especially because the survey is still in the works and the format may change before final deployment, I wrote a script that turns a spreadsheet with the questions into a .txt file in the format outlined here so that I can import them into the web builder all at once. It seems like the generated file is syntactically valid, and it imports *almost* correctly (the question types, formatting, etc. are correct). However, the question text on all of the imported questions is set to “undefined” rather than the correct text from the imported file, so I would still have to go into each one and copy the question text from my spreadsheet to make the survey useful.There are two things that I think might be responsible, assuming my syntax is correct. First, some of the question text is in Cyrillic (the survey is for a study of Russian language acquisition)

SSO Authentication and a Person Field Authentication At Once?

Regarding Authenticators for either an Engagement project or a Lifecycle project, is it possible to have both an SSO Authentication and a Person Field Authentication (i.e., Email or UniqueID) on for a single survey?The issue I have is the majority of my employees can log in via SSO -- but there is a small portion who don’t have SSO and will need to authenticate in via another method.

Measuring real world behavior

Hi everyone,I need to match data from an online survey (part 1, done through Qualtrics) with a real-world action by the survey respondent (part 2). The platform for real-world action is flexible. It can be making a donation (say through a website accepting USD), signing an on-line petition, etc. Can anyone tell if it’s possible to match the online survey respondents with their real-world action (singing in case of online petition or amount in case of donation). The context is a global carbon tax project.  Thanks for your help.

New explanation to my problem (it may be Custom code but I am not sure)

I'm currently experiencing an issue with the piped text values in my Qualtrics survey, specifically related to dynamic responses. The issue arises when participants choose their preferred free music service. Instead of displaying "YouTube Music" (which some participants select), the survey always shows "Spotify (free)" as the value for the "FreeService" field. This problem is occurring in the "Device Switching Reminder" block, specifically in question Q866.I have verified that the question IDs are correct and that the piping setup appears to be configured properly. Despite this, the value being piped is incorrect. After working with Qualtrics Support, they suggested that the issue lies within the custom JavaScript code used in my survey, which seems to be blocking the proper value from being piped in.The support representative tried several debugging steps, including placing the relevant questions side-by-side and modifying the piped text values directly. Dynamic privacy link based upon country and not only language.

Hello everyone,I am looking for an idea or solution to the following problem:I have to create a questionnaire in 5 languages and insert a link to the privacy policy. The problem is that one language can be associated with several countries (e.g. French for both France and Belgium).What is the best way to configure the question type Text / Graphic to meet this requirement?I thought about using a Piped Text via Survey Flow, e.g.: if language is FR and country is BE then the Embedded Data ‘link_privacy’ is ‘<a href=’https://test/fr-be/privacy‘>Politique de confidentialité</a>’, but this is not a robust solution. I could have the browser set to English and visit a site in French, at which point logic would dictate that the text above would be written in French instead of English.An alternative I have considered is to create many texts/graphics, one for each language+country combination, and set up the display logic. Tracking clicks on a custom button

I have added a button in my survey, which respondents can click on to read more information. I want to track whether a respondent has clicked on this button and read the additional information. While the button works well, I am not able to track if a respondent has clicked on the button and read the additional information. Below you can find the Javascript that I included to track if a respondent clicks on the button. I also include the HTML code which creates the button. Finally, I have also set embedded data to track the button: I called it “clicked1” and set it as empty. I have tried multiple times, with various Javascript options, and I have not been able to track it in any of the attempts.
