I’m trying to get the stars question behave as when selecting 3 stars - 3 are becoming highlighted (have color fill) and so forth. At the moment I can’t seem to be able to create this experience. It seems weired to me… We don’t mind doing it from the SDK but also there it seems like the option is not available.  Someone was able to reach this experience?

I have a form on a webpage that is pushing the multiple choice field selections to the Qualtrics survey correctly. For some reason I cannot get a Text Entry or Form Field where someone is going to input an email address to come through. Has anyone else been able to send text entry or form fields back to Qualtrics using their API?

Dynamic Starting Point for Alphabetized Order: I’m interested to discover a way to randomize names on a survey question (roughly 1-300 names) that would maintain alphabetical order while rotating the starting point for each participant as they access the survey. Specifically, I want the selection to remain in alphabetical order (A…Z), but to begin at a different letter for each respondent by randomly selecting a starting point. For example, if the names are as follows:Alice Bob Charlie DavidOne respondent might see:Bob Charlie David AliceWhile another might see:Charlie David Alice BobWe would greatly appreciate any insights, code snippets, or resources that could help us achieve this functionality using JavaScript or customized features within Qualtrics.Thank you for your assistance!

Does anyone know how to add an iframe title to a custom embedded feedback creative?in cases where we use other creatives such as feedback buttons etc we can see the option to add an iframe title as show in this image: however when we use a custom embedded feedback creative we do not have this option:  

Hi EveryoneVia Admin, I just created a new, fresh, test account.When logging in, I already had 3 projects shared with my new test account. And after further tests, all users under our brand account have these projects shared with them.When looking in collaborate via the project owner, no account is selected to be shared with.How do I stop sharing these, seemingly automatically?Thanks :)

Hello,I’m using a Pick Group Rank question for 9 possible options across 3 groups. Respondents need to pick 1 option for each group. The validation is set for each group to contain a minimum and maximum of 1. All of that works fine.But I ALSO want to add a custom validation so if the respondent chooses a specific option, they get an error message (that option is sold out). I know I can just remove that option or use display logic to prevent it being displayed at all, but I want that option to remain on the list and for the validation to fail if it’s selected. I can’t figure out how to add that custom validation on top of the “each group contains” validation. The Qualtrics interface really makes it seem like one or the other.Appreciate any guidance you may have!

Do API exports behave differently if a survey is actively collecting data during edits?

Hello!I have a question everyone sees that is like this:  Click if you want to know more on  <button onclick="alert('Display question topA')">topic A</button> or <button onclick="alert('Display question topB')">topic B</button>. How can I make the respective questions topA and topB to appear in the pop-up text? Both topA and topB are of Question type “Text/Graphic” (but contain only text).  Any help highly appreciated.  Edit:  I tried <button onclick="alert(${q://QID9/QuestionText})">Topic A</button> and <button onclick={q://QID11/QuestionText}>Topic B</button> but both yield the Alert JavaScript is not allowed in question text.

Hello,I wanted to ask if anyone has successfully created a matrix table question with an uneven number of statements for the respective columns. I have attached a screenshot example of what it would like (See Attached). There would be seven statements total (in my example, business activities), but only three of the statements would appear for one column and all seven for the other.I know I can utilize the ‘Make Answer Exclusive’ for the first column and create a custom validation to limit the number of options checked for the second column. However, after confirming with the Qualtrics Support AI Assistant that this is not possible, I wanted to see if someone has figured out a workaround for this type of situation.Thanks in advance for any insights!Regards,Eric

Context: I am working on a "Website/App Feedback" project, specifically using intercepts inside a Mobile App. We are using the Mobile Embedded Feedback creative type (Guided Intercepts). As per the standard behavior of this creative type, it automatically created "Embedded Survey". Hi Everyone,I’m trying to clearly understand how Qualtrics determines the base language for an email template/survey.In our case, the content was originally written in English, but when translations were added later, English was never added via the “Add Translation” option. Now, English does not appear as a selectable language in the translations list, and another language seems to be treated as the base. So I wanted to confirm:Is the base language in Qualtrics determined by the first language that is formally added via the Add / Edit Translation option, rather than the language in which the content was originally written?Also:If English was only used as a drafting/template language but never added as a translation entry, does that mean it can never be treated as the true base later without rewor

I have several web intercepts running in my project, but I’ve been experiencing strange behavior in how they’re being displayed, which led the client to request that all of them be disabled.These intercepts each have only one action set, and all of them follow rules similar to the example below.  In addition, I have repeat display prevention enabled, with the browser cookie set for 14 days. Even so, I’m receiving reports that the intercepts are being displayed every single time the user accesses the target URL.I’m not exactly sure how to proceed or where to start investigating this.Has anyone experienced something similar and can share their t

Hello everyone,I’m working on a workflow that pulls a file from Qualtrics’ Automation File Service and passes it through Basic Transform before moving on to the next steps. When I run the call on my machine using the endpoint from the Qualtrics API documentation page, the workflow runs perfectly with no issues. When the client makes the same call with the same file directly from Databricks, we keep getting the following error:TRF_1 - Record 1 has no field brand! Please ensure your source file has the header brand. Funny fact: the file does have the brand header. 🥲 Has anyone experienced this or have any insights that could help?

Hi All, I have setup a script which exports survey data in order to do a full search as apposed to the data privacy tool that Qualtrics offers (but doesn’t work properly!  but that’s another story!).  My script works through the report of surveys using my credentials and API token but for the ones I don’t have access to I switch to the owners API token I have saved elsewhere.  The problem occurs though in that I get a 401 code when trying the export api command which means that user is unauthorised.  These users I’ve discovered have left and are set to disabled. So my solution was to change their status by the users API and then continue processing (using their API token instead of mine).  However, i was finding some odd results in that I was still getting the 401 code but then on other occasions i wasn’t.  After checking everything I discovered that the 401 goes away and you get the normal 200 status code after 60 seconds.  Without fail

I have a survey where we need to use an anonymous link, but we are embedding certain details into the query string to give us certain details.  The link is something like www.survey.com/?D=YYYYMMDD&T=HHMM, so the actual link would be something like www.survey.com/?D=20251120&T=1015. I want to use that data as date/time segmentation on the dashboards.  I will set those up using this process (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/vocalize/dashboard-settings-cx/dashboard

Hi there, Has anyone successfully mapped Employee Central’s “Termination Reason” field using “Extract Employee Data from SuccessFactors Task”? We wish to filter for voluntary exits as part of condition for exit survey; this should be identified by termination reason - event reason. We are having issue identifying the path to the field.“employmentNav/jobInfoNav/eventReasonNav/name” maps to last effected event reason thus is not helpful, we wish to send the survey upon entering of termination details in SuccessFactors. any help or sharing would be appreciated! 

After someone selects a choice from my Satisfaction question (1st question), the response is recoded to 1-5 as an embedded data object “OSAT” at the end of the Block in the Flow. When users click the first answer, then close the survey, the survey is not recording the OSAT ED object because it has not hit the Survey Flow and won’t until they go to the next page.Question: Can you set up a script in the Java code in the AddOnUnload field to capture the embedded data and record the ED object OSAT?

I'm trying to set a dynamic custom start position for a slider, but do not want it to be set using the default choice feature. I want to be able to force a response from the respondent, but have the start position be preset dynamically. If I use the default choice feature, it sets the start position but also allows the participant to skip answering and simply click forward because it preselects the answer. Therefore, the default choice feature cannot be used. The custom start position feature seems to only allow a static start position. setChoiceValue also doesn't work because it preselects the answer as well. I need the participant to actively choose a value.Has anybody else achieved this previously? Hi! For an intercept survey, I am pulling in the CurrentPageURL, but that URL contains a piece of data I would like to split out / store separately.  The piece of string I want is not always in the same position in the URL (the URL can be much longer than in this example), and the pieces of information in the URL are not always in the same order, but the string I want will always follow after ‘PNR=’. It’s the 6 letters after that I would want (yellow in the screenshot).Is there any way to store that information in a separate embedded field? We already tried passing through Adobe, but that will not work for us. I am not familiar with Javascript, but feel that’s the most likely way to do it… But wanted to confirm before I try to learn how to do that.

I would like to create an automated daily export that includes responses in progress -- basically the same file that a user can get by manually downloading from the “Responses in Progress” section in the Data & Analysis tab. I’ve been experimenting with the “export-responses” endpoint, but have only been able to capture submitted responses. I’m new to the API though, and am not sure if I’m looking in the wrong place entirely. Can anyone point me in the right direction? 

I use to have this coding but lost it but I am trying to create anchors in my email invite and reminder for a multi-lingual email that I would have the 3 languages on top and then anchor the specific language to the section of the email. For example: I have 3 languages (Spanish Portuguese, French) i have a title on top that says “language selection : Spanish | Portuguese | French and then I have each survey invite in each language in the email body and then I tried anchoring the language on top to the section in the email to the language selected on top. The last part is updating the survey link per each message to link the language to open with the Q_Language= Code ….  I started working at my company and they did not set up the automation to pull “Language” metadata in our lifecyles so this is the alternative route to create a multi-lingual email until we get that fixed and then we can use the emails that would pull from the language code and show the exact email temp
