Here in our global community, we celebrate countless holiday traditions. When I was young, my parents and my three siblings would always read and act out the Nativity Scene from the Bible. Now that I'm the dad, and my kids are "too old" for dressing up, we simply read Luke 2 together and then we open "one gift" on Christmas Eve. I really enjoyed reading what everyone else does for "holiday traditions", thank you all for sharing!

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/53052#Comment_53052This tree-choosing tradition definitely sounds like something your sons will always cherish! 🌲

One of my favorite Colombian traditions is the candles day or día de las velitas in spanish, every 7th of december. We celebrate among the families lighting candles in honor of the Virgin Mary, the families get together, they turn on the lights in lanterns and they make wishes..

The best thing about holiday season is eating Buñuelos, a typical colombian preparation that consist of Flour with cheese fried in a circular shape.

My favorite Christmas tradition is to decorate the Christmas tree and enjoy the Christmas Eve dinner with my wife and my daughters

JoseS - Yes, Dec is one of the best time to visit Baguio city! Hahaha classic bingo!

Hey guys!! Great to keep engaging here in a more personal way. I live in a very small village near Madrid and there is a tradition to run a 10km race on the last day of the year. There is a very famous race in Madrid that is called San Silvestre Vallecana, where more than 15.000 people run across this neighbourhood in Madrid. In our village we replicate this and we have the Sal Sin Norte (word game) where aprox. 100 people for the near villages run the 10 km from one village to ours.
After that everybody gathers in front of 1 of the 3 bars in town and they prepare a very nice broth for everybody and we spend together part of the last day of the year. ;-)

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/53142#Comment_53142I have to agree here that Christmas Tree decorating and dinner with my loved ones is definitely my favorite part of the holiday season. 🎄

https://community.qualtrics.com/XMcommunity/discussion/comment/53147#Comment_53147Wow! This tradition sounds both super fun and exhausting (at least for the runners) haha. Thank you for sharing this interesting tradition! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
