What is Basecamp Wednesdays?

Every Wednesday we will look at different topics discussed on XM Basecamp and provide a brief description of the Basecamp resource.

Whether you’re just getting started on your XM journey or ready to take your program to the next level, this weekly series is meant to help all users find Basecamp resources.

Topic: Individual Links Alternative

If you have ever been limited to only distributing anonymous links, but need to reap the benefits of personal links like tracking responses & pulling related embedded data, adding an authenticator to your survey may be the perfect solution. Once a respondent reaches the authenticator element, they're prompted to input specific information to continue, usually their email address or other contact information, essentially being made to log in to take the survey.

This method protects your survey from collecting any unwanted responses by checking that the information submitted is included in the chosen contact list. If you only want to authenticate part of your survey, you can do so by only including the authenticated portion underneath the authenticator element in the Survey Flow. You can even take your survey security one step further by adding an SSO authenticator that uses third-party systems to verify that they are a legitimate user at your organization.

Protect your survey from bots and other unwanted respondents today by using an authenticator in your survey!
