Topic: Scale Point Best Practices

Question scales are commonly used as a quick method to gather respondent data; however, there are certain best practices that need to be considered to ensure that the data being collected is reliable.

For example, reducing subjectivity and ensuring that scale points mean the same thing to everyone increases the likelihood of gathering consistent data. Another way to reduce bias & avoid leading respondents is to use balanced scales that contain an equal number of positive and negative scale points.

Learn more about these and other best practices so you can begin reducing bias in your data one question at a time!
