We ask respondents to enter their postcode in the survey (Column A) and would then like to classify them into the Greater Capital City Statistical Area (used by the Australian Bureau of Statistics) (Column D) to “Greater Sydney” or “Rest of New South Wales” depending on the postcode provided.


We got the below postcode allocation list in Excel from Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

Anything outside the range of 2000-2900 would be screened out.

@MarioL You can use custom coding to assign them to column D but I believe your list is too big hence, it would be difficult.

You can use Supplemental Data paid] as a feature in Qualtrics to achieve this.
