Click Ranking with Exclusive Option | XM Community

I'm looking to program a click ranking question, whereby respondents click each option to rank, rather than dragging or typing. Does anybody know how to do this?
Additionally to this I'd love to be able to have an exclusive option at thee bottom such as a "Don't know" or "None of the above" that clears out the responses from the ranking if respondents decide they no longer want to answer the question.

I think the first part of your question is describing a Rank Order question, of format "Radio Buttons."
I don't know of a way to incorporate a DK/NOTA option into a ranking question. Hopefully someone else has some thoughts. -- You could make it non-required, or if you have too many items to reasonably expect that the respondent will (or will be able to) rank all the items, try a multiselect for Top 3 or Top 5 (depending how many options you have) instead of ranking, but I'm not sure if that approach can meet your needs.

Hi there, thanks for your comment!
In terms of click ranking, I'm looking to have the options appear on screen which can then be clicked and ranked in terms of you click a box and it ranks as 1 then 2, etc. without having the 1,2,3,etc. columns as the radio buttons provide?

Yes, I've seen other programs have that type of ranking. (I always hate taking surveys that use them, personally; invariably I click somewhere wrong and trying to undo is a pain, lol.)
But more to the point, that's not currently a supported type of ranking question in Qualtrics.
You do have the option for people to TYPE in their ranking for each item (text box format), if a drag/drop or radio button option is not preferred for your use case.
