How could I reorder the scales of matrix table questions all at once? | XM Community
Skip to main content

Hi I have 95 questions which are in the same format -- the matrix table question format. (attached the sample picture below)
The current scaling is from "Strongly Disagree" to "Strongly Agree", and I want to reorder it as "Strongly Agree" to "Strong Disagree" with "do not know" staying in the same place. Since there are so many questions, I am wondering if there is a way to change them all at once (maybe by writing javascript lines?)
I am super looking forward to the suggestions!

Thank you!

Hi there,
Within the Qualtrics Survey Builder, I do not believe there is a way to make the edits you are describing all at once. I think the edits would have to be done question by question.
If you have not collected data yet, it could be most efficient to remake the survey, make a single matrix question with the scale in the desired direction, and then duplicate that question as many times as needed.
If you have collected data, you'll want to be sure that changing the order of the scale is done in a way that does not invalidate what's been collected. For each scale point, using the "Move up" or "Move down" features will keep the collected data intact.
