How to put in a list of 4000 items but have it narrow from previous answers | XM Community

I am trying to implement a list of 4000 items as answer choices to a single question. We have found that the list is too big so the question would have to be split into 13 questions to hold all the answer choices. We are hoping to find a way to narrow the list from previous answer choices the respondent picks so that the answer choices left are small enough to be contained in one question.

Hi Sanjivjm ,
Is the Drill-Down question type a viable solution for you? I don't have EX, though, so if you're working in that, this question type may not be available.

Sorry about the tag that was an accident; this is not for EX. As for the drill down question type, this was not an option due to the the amount of answer choices. I got around this for a previous question with 700 answer choices by making a list multiple choice question and then using the edit multiple answers option, but this is not an option in this case since their is 4000 answer choices and that is too many characters.

OK, I see. If you have 4000 choices for just one question, then you're probably exceeding the 10,000 limit described below. Wish I knew of another workaround. Hope you can find a solution.
