HI All,
I have a form which is currently forced and have different validations for each form as per pic below.
We use this as a part of a complaints form post stay (after a guest has had a stay at our hotels) so it make sense having Hotel Name and Arrival date etc. but we now want to use this form for Pre Stay complaints aswell so it means that the guest may not have a hotel name, arrival date and booking ref etc. We'll know from a previous question if their complaint is about a post stay or pre stay but how can I change the validation to allow the non essential fields (arrival, hotel name and booking ref) be left blank?
Can the 'add validation' override the 'force response'? If not, is there a way to somehow disable the validation based on an answer to a previous question using some javascript? There is the 'add validation' but this might become rather complex with all the regex I'd need for post codes and dates etc so it would be good to still use the validation as it stands but just turn it off.
Any thoughts would be most welcome
Thanks

Hi there, I believe that the Response Requirements will apply to all the fields of the Form Field question, while the Add Validation will apply to individual form fields. If the Response Requirement is not enabled but the Add Validation for a form field is set to Force Response, the respondent will not be able to proceed until that individual form field is not blank.
You might be okay to create another Form Field question that is not Forced Response and collect the Arrival, Hotel, and Booking information in that question.
