Multiple answers - how to show unacceptable combinations or to grey out answers | XM Community

Hi everyone,

I'm new to qualtrics so I apologize if this question has been asked. I just couldn't find what I'm looking for.

In this example, "What would concern you?" Answer options are: Nothing, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, Others (type in). I allow multiple answers since people might have multiple concerns. However, a respondent just pointed out to me that this makes it possible to combine Nothing with other options, which makes no sense (though no one has done that yet).

Therefore, I'm just wondering if there is a way to grey out all other options if Nothing is selected, or grey out Nothing if any other options are selected. If not, I guess a validation could also work, though I see that the built-in validation option doesn't allow this logic.

What would you advise?

Thanks a bunch!
