Hi! I am currently writing my Master's thesis about framing prices as hours needed to work instead of monetary price. I need to distribute a survey in order to get my data, but was wondering the following: would it be possible to have 'custom' hours worked for each respondent?
Respondents will be given one of two scenarios: if they would buy a certain product for let's say 20 euros, or if they would buy a product if they need to work x hours in order to be able to buy it.
So, I firstly want to ask people their hourly income in a normal text input question, and then convert that into their personal hours worked, instead of taking an average hourly income in a question further in the survey.
For instance, the price of a product is 30 euro, somebody says they earn 17 euro per hour, which translates to hours work needed is 1h45 min. But, somebody else only earns 15 euro an hour, so their hours work needed is 2 hours. Would it be able to have a script of some sorts that can translate the input of hourly income to a 'price'?
Thanks!!
