Randomizing regions "On" by default for Hot Spot + create embedded data using javascript | XM Community

Hi everyone,
I am setting up a research experiment and my design require specific features.
More specifically, I want to visually present participants with a set of squares they can click on to activate/deactive using the Hot Spot question-type.
However, the number of squares already activated at the start of the task would have to be randomized (as well as their order). Also, I want to simultaneously show a point tally that is dynamically updated depending on the number of activated squares (as a function of it).
As I am totally new to javascript (and already searched this in the forum with no great success), do any of you happen to know whether this is feasible ? If so, I will further investigate how to do so.
Thank you very much !
