Show embedded image from url

Hello,
I have a project where we take an ultraviolet (UV) photo of a person's face and then use that photo in later surveys. To keep everything in one place, we have created a contact list with a the photos stored as embedded data: ${e://Field/UVPhoto1}.
The problem I have is that I can't get the embedded visual to display in subsequent surveys. When I place the embedded field into a survey question, all it shows is the url of the photo rather than the photo itself.
I am sure there is a straightforward solution to this, but so far Qualtrics techs have struggled to find it. I appreciate any and all help in advance.
