Using Code Task/XM Directory to follow up on new hires

Hi there,
Maybe there is an easy way to do this that I've missed, but is there a way I can upload an employees hire date to the directory as embedded data, then use that as a reference to send them an onboarding survey after their 1st day, after 90 days, and after 180 days? Would I be able to accomplish this using moment.js? If so, can I use moment.js with a code task?
I see that I can build follow up actions based on their response to the survey that can be scheduled 3 months and 6 months out, but if they wait to complete the survey then the follow ups will be sent out later than we want.
