bar chart in dashboard | XM Community

Hi,
I am creating a dashboard for Q cable survey. ( part of XM certification project)
On the course page, here is the instruction to create a bar chart. Could someone please simplify it for me?

Add the following widgets to the Manager Scorecard page:

  1. A bar chart that compares the average satisfaction score for this manager’s team to the department. Build this chart by creating two metrics that display the average satisfaction score.

  2. On the first metric, navigate to the filters tab and add a filter based on the Employee Hierarchy field. Select the Fixed Level option, then select Manager. This bar will now display the score just for agents that report to this manager.

  3. On the second metric add a similar filter, but select the Unfiltered option after selecting Employee Hierarchy. This metric will display the total department score.

  4. If you select a manager in the page-level employee hierarchy filter, you will see a difference between the bars. Change the label of each metric to more closely describe what the bar represents.

Thanks and Regards,
Ameer

AMEER They are asking you to create a bar chart with two bars (two separate metrics), each showing the average satisfaction score. The difference between the two bars will be the metric level filter you add. While in the first metric, you need to add an "Employee Hierarchy" filter and set it to "Manager." Now, regardless of how the hierarchy is filtered on the page, this metric will always show just employees reporting to the manager.
The second metric filter will again select "Employee Hierarchy" but you don't assign a value to the filter, instead leaving it to "all." This "all" will override the page-level filter and always display all employees.
