Cascading custom color palettes across users | XM Community

TL:DR: Has anybody found a workaround for the inability to cascade custom color palettes in dashboards across users?
More detail: My enterprise has a number of standards about logos, color palettes, legal disclaimers, etc. In order to ensure that all surveys my enterprise users create adhere to these standards, I have created a survey template that incorporates all of the requirements. I've stored the template in a shared library, and I've asked users to start new surveys by copying the template from the shared library into their personal library, rather than just starting new projects from scratch.
This has been mostly successful; the only issue is that our custom color palette I created for the dashboard does not carry from the template I created into other users' survey copies. If I copy the template and create a survey, I see the palette, but other users do not. And poking around in these forums, it appears a number of other users have encountered this same issue.
The only solution I can think of is to have all of my users create personal copies of the template from my master copy, so that they can code the color palette into their own template copy and use that as their starting point for new surveys. However, this means that anytime there's an update to the template, I need to ensure that 10 users correctly carry the update into their own personal versions of the template. This is obviously less than ideal.
Has anybody found a better way? I'm really surprised that palettes at the brand level are not something Qualtrics supports.

Commenting as I'd like an answer to this too
