I would like to ask a customer to enter his ID number (which is unique).
I also want to upload to Qualtrics a csv file with information about this customer (but not name, email etc.) . for example ID1234 if from: Israel, type of customer is VIP, his revenue is 100$ and he use 3 of our products.
In the dashboards I would like the string answered in ID number to be compared with the data I uploaded...
Is what I'm asking possible? can you tell me how to do it?
deveer What you are attempting to do requires XM Directory. You can upload all of your customers to the directory with whatever embedded data you would like. When your customers take the survey, they would Authenticate using their customer ID. You would then be able to bring in any of those embedded data fields into the customer's survey response which can then be loaded into your dashboard.
jmborzick Thanks!
So if I understand you correctly, I have to ask the customer that answers the survey to enter his customer ID, as one of the questions, and that would be enough?
Can I upload the information at any given time or the information need to be there already when the customer answers the survey?
Can you take me through the steps in CX directory, because the only thing I can see is list of contact people and that requires emails, names etc... I know I can fake it but was hoping to avoid it in the first place

Yes, the first question would be the authenticator asking the client to enter their customer ID and that will be enough to link the survey to their data. The data would need to be in the directory prior to completing the survey for the data to be included.
This page explains how to get your contacts into XM directory.
