Explanation on Using Top Range only for TextIQ and Focus Areas/Key Drivers | XM Community

Hello,

I am inquiring whether someone can provide me with a comprehensive explanation regarding the recommended practice of "Adjusting the box range so that only the top range is selected," as delineated in step 6 of the "Using Text Topics as a Key Driver" section for Focus Area widgets, accessible via the following link:

https://www.qualtrics.com/support/vocalize/widgets/analysis-widgets-cx/focus-area-widget-cx/#UsingTextTopics

I am currently in the process of configuring an analysis for two distinct key drivers:

  • Rate Your Experience 0-10 [Range Options 0-10]
    • In this case recommendation would be to use 9 & 10
  • Would You Recommend  Range Options 1-4]
    • In this case recommendation would be to use 3 & 4

All my Parent Topics, topics, and keywords have been set up. My inquiry pertains to the rationale behind utilizing only the uppermost range for analysis. Could it not be more advantageous to analyze all feedback or consider those respondents who have provided lower scores in order to discern areas requiring improvement?

Your insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Because the widget use topbox as performance metric = %(topbox/number of response). It’s not a filter that only use upper range for analysis. It’s for you to decide what range of score you want it to consider good and what is bad range of score.
