How can I hide create project button from dashboard viewers only view? | XM Community

Despite of disabling permission to create new CX projects or surveys, users still see 'Create Project' button on home page. This is not a good user experience and creates unnecessary confusion.

Hi AnalystRAC The button will still be available even if you give user participant access or disable all "create" permission types. The user when they click on the button will get the following response:

Aanurag_QC Yes, we are all aware. But I agree with AnalystRAC that it's a confusing experience.
I have the same issue when I give someone access to only view tickets, and they see the Projects in the dropdown of modules they can go to.

AnalystRAC submit a new idea, and I'll upvote for sure. Only what's enabled for the user should be visible to them.

Hi @Aanurag_QC and @InessaG

I wanted to share the solution we found. We created a new user-type with view only access with the following settings.

Enable ‘Use CX Dashboards’ and disable all other permissions including ‘Create CX Projects’.

Hi @AnalystRAC , you can also create your own user groups and assign user groups according to person role. Like who can create surveys, who can view. So you don't have to manually change for each user, you just have to assign user group while creating account.
