Does Qualtrics have the worst product support in the tech industry?

Hey All,

 

Is anyone else dealing with this horrendous product support from Qualtrics?  I’ve tried working with their Product Support team for 3 weeks now to solve a bug I’m experiencing with their piped text weighted scoring feature when sending an automated email to survey respondents via “workflows”. 

 

When trying to provide survey respondents with scores from their survey, I’m getting two responses, neither of which are usable:

  1. (Invalid Expression}, 2)
  2. 4.234323423495885585885 

I’ve spoken to 5 to 6 product specialists over the last 3 weeks to figure out how we can reduce the number two decimal points (i.e. 4.23) and solve for the first issue.

Previous suggestion:

For example, you would first have an embedded data field called TeamScore and would set it equal to ${gr://SC_ebyJ379SvKjGQUm/WeightedMean}

And then you would create another embedded data field called TeamScoreRounded and set it equal to $e{ round(  ${e://Field/TestTeam} , 2 ) }

  • Once you have this completed, you will want to pipe in the embedded data field that has the ,2 into your workflow.

Each one of them has provided solutions that don’t work, and the ghosted me and passed me off to a new product specialist where I’ve had to re-explain the problem from the beginning and go through the song and dance all over again.  The last product specialist, Rosabella Melissa, said she had spoken to the engineering team who said this was a function that’s very rarely used by customers so had not come up before, but that they would work on creating a fix. 

 

I spoke to Rosabella last Monday, March 25th, and she’s never followed back up despite her saying she would take my case to completion.  I’m beyond frustrated with my experience with Qualtrics and it seems impossible to escalate this to a manager or someone who cares.  If you’re not a paying Qualtrics customer, I would recommend using another provider.  Had I known they care this little about their customers, I would never have invested the time, energy, and money on this tool.

Hey @DerekL,

I empathize with the frustration that comes with investing time, effort, and resources into this tool.

One suggestion I have is if you've already submitted your ticket to the support team, consider requesting them to escalate it to the engineering team. Share the ticket details with your Account Executive and emphasize its importance. Your AE should be able to assist in expediting the resolution process.

Assuming you did this in the survey flow:

TeamScore = ${gr://SC_ebyJ379SvKjGQUm/WeightedMean}

Try this for your math operation:

TeamScoreRounded = $e{ round( e://Field/TeamScore , 2 ) }

Just adding a point to @TomG’s solution. The math operations in embedded data and survey flow are very finicky about whitespaces, so if you’re copying and pasting from somewhere, make it is a notepad and not a word processor.
