We have a large number of roles (over 100) that need to be created in our EX survey for Dashboard page permissions. Manually uploading participants to each of these roles is a time-consuming task. Do you have any suggestions for how we can handle this process efficiently?
Vinoth_Mathaiyan Is this a "Lifecycle" project? If so, there is an "Automatic Role Assignment" option. If you're using a different engagement project type, you'll need to bulk add participants to each role using filters.
I appreciate your suggestion, jmborzick. I am using an engagement survey and have tried to add participants using a filter, but it takes a long time to load. Any other suggestions?
We create a field in the participant file called "role name", and then use that field as criteria for adding participants to the role. (There is a now a feature in the "add export" button that lets you define by criteria-its very helpful!)

Thanks dmckiernan,
Using filters to upload participants is a beneficial approach, but it can be time-consuming as it checks the data against each participant. Even if we have one participant in a role, it takes time to load.
This method is still preferable to manual import. Another challenge is, if a user has multiple roles, it can be challenging to create corresponding metadata. Additionally, having multiple roles can create restrictions on data.
Its a problem, and you need to manage the roles by project and they can't be copied from project to project. We also have lots of roles and its a tedious job. We are also trying to find ways to make this process more efficients
