Addressing the question of trust and anonymity

Any suggestions or approaches on how can we address and alleviate the concerns of employees who distrust the computer-based survey process (they currently will only entertain using a handwritten survey). Any ideas on ensuring them of their anonymity and the security of their data, given that in this instance all our survey data will handled by a third-party for analysis?

Dashboard design to align unrestricted and restricted pages

I would like to gather your ideas for a dashboard design. Specifically, I aim to create a dashboard for an Employee Engagement project with two distinct pages:All survey results without any filters. Results filtered to display only the data for the own department.The first page is intended for all employees, while the second page is designed to be accessible to department managers, allowing them to view results for their respective departments.If we stick to a single dashboard, I see no feasible way to use "Restrict Data" in the role definition, as this filter would apply to the entire dashboard, including page 1. Instead, each department manager would require a separate role and a dedicated dashboard page, filtered to their specific department (Locked Filter).This approach could result in significant effort if there are many departments, as it would necessitate creating one role and one dashboard page per department.Alternatively, we could display the data for individual departments i

Dashboard export to PPTX format / Manager Report Tips

Hi All,I am wondering if you can share any tips / best practice in relation to exporting the Employee Engagement dashboards to pptx format. In my organization there is a big appetite for such functionality, as we had the pptx reports with the previous vendor, and I am exploring what could be done to satisfy this. I can see that exporting dashboards to pptx leads to pretty poor layout and doesn’t really meet the needs. I tried setting up Manager Reports functionality, but it seems it allows only for the very simple widgets, such as Scorecard, but doesn't work with most of the widgets I have on the actual dashboard.The export of dashboard to PDF is what I am aiming at, more or less - but I would need it to be in PPTX and without the page breaks.Do you have any experience / workarounds that you use in your business?

Your experience with GDPR in context of employee engagement participants

Don’t be scared about all the text.I would be really happy if you share your experiences in the context of the employee engagement invitation process. We are currently facing some challenge in a customer project in regards to data privacy compliance. The project is about a pulse check (engagement) survey. Originally, the idea was to just take all employee contacts, add them as participant to the project and send the anonymous link via the Qualtrics invite message. The authentication must be ensured with SSO. What’s the challenge? The corporate privacy team complained about the fact that the employee contacts are added as participant to the project without having their consent about this as adding them as participant already means that their contact data is processed. So contacts should only be added as participant if they have actually agreed before to receive an invitation email. In our case it is of course voluntary to actually take the survey. Calculated Metric/Index in EX with Average

I’d like to create an “index” in my EX Engagement survey program where I have an average of 5 of my survey questions (averaging the recode values). Since Engagement surveys do not have the Scoring feature and dashboards do not have custom metrics, is there any other simple way to do this? EX dashboards can do average metrics already based on the survey question recode, but I’m not seeing a way to combine multiple fields into one for an average index.Right now the only option I see is using the survey flow to calculate the average of these 5 questions. This requires 1) using several branching logic sets to identify how many of the 5 questions the user answered, and 2) created a calculated embedded data field to sum up the 5 questions and divide by the number of answered questions identified in part 1.Is there really no easier way to do this using existing tools? I looked at the custom field > formula field in data & analysis, but I don’t think that would work due to needing to ta

Dashboards in app

Hi everyone!  I’m having a bit of trouble with a dashboard in the app viewer. When I open the dashboard from web, everything is okay, and the participation rate widgets works correctly, displaying the real information. However, when I log into the app to watch the exact same dashboard, none of the participation widgets shows any information. I have checked the permissions, roles and mobile version and everything is configured correctly. Have you ever had something like this? Do you guys know what else could I check or do?

Participation rate widgets in a EX Dashboard

Why might a participation rate widget and a participation rate table get damaged when adding filters to the dashboard? It should be noted that the applied filter originally had 9 values and was recoded to 2 values. That is where the issue occurs.

My number of responses does not match between dashboard project and dashboard itself. Why?

I have a department EX engagement survey that was sent to 50 people. One page says 15 respondents so far and everything on the dashboard itself says 14. I have left this for more than a day and it has not caught up. Ideas? There are no filters applied to the dashboard.

How do you recommend to manage the EX platform in a multinational / big company?

Hi, I work at a multinational company, with many Business Units. I would like to know the experience of other users in this topic. How do you manage the access to the platform and particularly the Employee Directory?Our employee voice strategy includes that some of the Surveys are directly managed by a local business unit. They should use the data of employees that are in the directory, but they should not access data of other Business Units' employees. Also, they should not modify data by mistake. Is there anyone with experience on this respect? If not, How would you do it?

Solution for a ranking question in EX projects

The EX product doesn’t include many solutions for a ranking question in the survey builder. Has anyone managed to use alternative question formats to achieve a ranking question? I tried Form Field but I’m unsure how to set the custom validation so that each field has a unique value between 1-6.

Different response deletion policies per survey type (EX)

We have the requirement to automatically delete responses from the system after a specific number of days. However, the time periods should be different for engagement surveys and 360 feedback. Engagement survey responses should be deleted after 120 days whereas 360 feedback responses should be after 365 days.Unfortunatelly, the default deletion policy does only allow 1 setting per brand. https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/sp-administration/data-privacy-tab/data-retention/#SettingUpStill any ideas how we could automate this process?

Qualtrics has been super glitchy/buggy lately

I don’t know what it is but it feels like the product is actually broken. No matter what I try to do I get an error message. Error this error that. I’ve never seen so many glitches before. I’m trying to create a new project, get an error, try to delete a duplicate project, get an error, try to upload people into a project, get another error, try to build a hierarchy, another error. Then there are other times I don’t even get an error and just a hanging screen that gets stuck for hours and hours with no progress such as when deleting data or deleting a hierarchy. It’s like the whole product is broken now and we are in the midst of our annual big survey and I’ve been putting many hours just dealing with how buggy and glitchy Qualtrics has become. It always had issues here and there but it was never this bad before. Was the entire production team let go or something?

How can I easily display the “Other - fill in the blank” text entry option from a multiple choice question on a dashboard? This is for an Employee Engagement survey type. When I go to dashboard data options to map this question, my only options are shown in the attached screenshots.

Hello, I have a question with 5 options, one of the options is Other(Please specify) with text entry enabled.While trying to build a dashboard widget that displays all the responses selected for this question, i would like to display the text entered in the Other option. But the widget isn’t showing the text. Is there anyway to pull the data entered in the text entry box? Thank you!

How to display a Matrix question in 1 widget for an Employee Experience survey?

I have seen the post on how to create a Matrix Statement in one widget (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/vocalize/common-use-cases-voc/viewing-matrix-statements-in-a-single-widget/), however how can this be done for an Employee Engagement survey? I do not have the option to create a Field Group of “Measure Type.” The only option I have when trying to create a Field Group is  “Drill Down.”  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Dashboard data partially shows in wrong language

Hi, Q. community,I ´m new Q. EX Technology consultant and I have a problem with displaying page filters data on the dashboard.We imported dashboard data translation to six languages. All columns with proper language translation (One of them is Croatian). When I set the platform language to EN, and adding the page filter, I see the dashboard data in Croatian and the same in other platform account languages.It seems as the default language is Croatian instead of the EN. See the mixture of the Croatian and English. When I export the data file there are missing data in Croatian column and in EN column is partially Croatian translations. When I import corrected translation it happens again.Any idea why the import dashboard data translation does not work correctly? Thanks Pavel
