Best Practices Launching Candidate Experience Surveys

How did your company address potential survey fatigue?Did you limit the amount of surveys a single candidate would receive even if they had applied to multiple positions in a month? Curious if you implemented survey invite limits at the Screen or Interview stage at all. How many questions did you ask at each stage?Also curious if you surveyed Executive candidates, and if the methodology matched the normal invites for ‘regular’ candidates.

JavaScript Help Needed: Calculating Values from Multiple Matrix Tables

Hello Qualtrics Community,I am working on a survey with two matrix tables and need assistance with JavaScript to perform certain calculations. Please note that I do not have any knowledge of HTML. The reason I am using JavaScript is that I need the calculation to happen on the same page where the respondent is making their selections. This is necessary because we need to show the calculated value on the same page so that respondents can amend their answers if they feel the need to adjust.Here’s the breakdown:Matrix Table 1: Contains 4 statements, each with 3 options. Each option has an associated recode value. Matrix Table 2: Contains 2 statements, each with 2 options. Each option also has a recode value.I need to:Sum the recode values of all selected options for each statement in the first matrix table. Multiply the recode values of the two statements in the second matrix table. Multiply the sum from the first matrix table by the result from the second matrix table.I would appreciate

Has anyone been successful with creating a new Employee Journey Analytics project from scratch ? (2 Engagement, onboarding, exit ) I keep getting error for too many rows

Helo Everyone, I am trying to utilize the creating a new Employee Journey Analytics project from scratch so that i can combine my 2 engagement surveys (2022 & 2024) , my onboarding 90 day and my exit survey (4 total surveys) together to see how our lifecycle data compares to engagement and the EX25 KPI’s. I ran this a few times and I keep getting an error for too many rows. What have others used to set up and did you join data and aggregate also?  I know that joining data and aggregating data are two options and not sure if I'm setting this up correctly.  I used a main demographic “branch” that all surveys have.  below is the model I built and waiting for this to regenerate. Thank you!

Hierarchy Issue with One Manager

Hello Exper Community Members! I am having an issue with one manager profile and subsequently SOME of his direct reports under him. I have resolved similar issue for manager in another country but just cannot get this one to work. I have tried re-importing by csv file and manually at Global Directory and Project level and just cannot get him to show up in hierarchy. I am wondering if the issue is memory / cache? Thank you for any insights.

Cant see translated labels in Dashboard, evemif they are visible in the file for translation

Hi team,  We added a translation of labels in our EX Engagement Dashboard, and it only took partially the name of sources in the translation. Even if we see in the file all translated fields, they dont reflect in the dashboard.We tried uploading the file more times, but it doesnt refresh the data. Is there some advice for this?  Thank you Livia B

Hi there, does any know if it is possible to do a query in TextiQ that looks for comments where the word “No” is the only comment people have made.  The client would like to add these to a “No comment” topic.  Many people just just written “no”.Thanks!

Need a widget/report/dashboard-page showing sent/received 360-surveys

There is data (available somewhere) to support this but I can’t find it/have restricted access/something.My participants’ leaders want status reports that include Subject-identifier, how many nominations were sent and how many received by relationship-type.  See attached file for the desired display.I’ve been manipulating the exported data to create the following in excel but it should be possible within the 360-platform as all the information is available -- nominations sent is part of the upload/relationships of the subject-detail, and there’s even a widget-filter for “nominations sent” in the dashboard builder (that doesn’t work -- it only returns completed responses).  The # SENT data (used to initialize the 360-program) is from the upload files (we currently do not allow subjects to add/modify their evaluators)I would be forever grateful if someone out there has figured out how to do this inside Q-360.In dashboards, I can create parts of the chart with a page-filter of relationshi

Filter - EX Heat Map Widget

Hi,I’m using the Heat Map Widget on my EX Pulse Dashboard.We have meanwhile several waves of feedback.The ‘breakout’ columns of the Heat Map Widget respect the page filter (e.g. data source = May wave). The first column (comparison column) does not respect the page filter. This leads to the situation, that the results across ALL WAVES are displayed in the first column.The explanation text in the widget configuration window states that this is “intended behaviour” (=all data sources will be used).My question:Is there any way to filter the Heat Map Widget by the data source?I only want the data from the May wave to be used in this widget.  Using the widget filter didn’t work either …Thanks!Manfred

Manage multiple open question in a EX survey

Hi everyone!I’m working on an EX engagement survey that includes a large number of open-ended questions — 33 in total — and I’m looking for the best way to analyze and display this data in a Qualtrics dashboard.Previously, we had a simple setup with: A response ticker A word cloud An emotion distribution in a pizza widget This worked fine when we had only a few open text questions. But now, with so many, we've hit the widget limit in Qualtrics, and it's no longer practical to create separate visualizations for each question. On top of that, I feel this approach doesn't provide deep insights — it’s more of a visual placeholder than a useful analysis tool.I’m wondering if anyone here has faced a similar challenge and could share: How you handled large volumes of open-text responses in your dashboards Any best practices or creative ways to summarize, group, or analyze the comments Tips for making the dashboard more insightful and action-oriented, rather than just showing raw or su

User permission to view EX dashboard

Hello!I have been using Qualtrics for many EX projects during the past years, and have always been involved with allocating dashboard permissions to users. This is the first time I experience the problem below:When I try to restrict the dashboard data for a user based on a filter (based on the company name, which is mapped as multi-answer in the dashboard), I can't find the company that I am searching for. I am sure that there are over 100 responses from that company (I can see them both in the dashboard and in stats IQ). And yes, I updated both the metadata and the invited counts recently. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you find a solution?Thank you!

Question about displaying consolidated comments in TextiQ (Engagement project with multiple data sources)

Hi community,I have a specific question regarding the use of TextiQ in an Engagement project.Currently, this project does not have its own responses, but it is connected to 4 different data sources, each with its own TextiQ configured.My goal is to display, in this consolidated dashboard, the TextiQ bubble widget and the comment summaries widget, showing the consolidated comments from all 4 sources.According to the support documentation, there should be no limitations for this type of setup, but in my case, it’s not working as expected. Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what I should take into account to get these widgets to work properly in this scenario?Thanks in advance for any guidance you can share.

Javascript to Subtract Up to 3 Points on Item for Minimum Value of "0"

Good Morning, You Lovely People! I have a Lifecycle survey where I want to have an overall “score” (raw number - not a %) calculated based on the items selected in the survey.The maximum/”perfect” score is 30 There are 8 questions - each with different values (3 answer options or 5 answer options) 7 of the questions are straightforward (A = 5, B = 4, etc.) However: On one of the questions - there are 17 possible answers I want to have the system *subtract* a point for each item selected - subtracting up to 3 points for a minimum value of “0” So: Max Score for the question is 3 Minimum score is 0 If 1 item is selected: Subtract 1 point If 3 items selected: Subtract 3 points If 4 or more items selected: Subtract 3 points I added custom javascript (mentioned below) and included it as an embedded data field in the flow before the questions.Unfortunately - it’s not working the way I want it to.So now - I’m wondering if such a thing is possible *or* if I’d need to think of a diffe

Data Source as Breakdown in a Heatmap

Hi everyone,Is there a way to add data sources or existing comparisons as a breakdown in a heatmap, so they are displayed directly in comparison to the overall total?My goal is not to view each data source as a separate comparison, but rather to show the general result with a breakdown by each data source.For example: display the overall total with a breakdown by Data Source, and see that values as columns: "Data Source 1", "Data Source 2", and "Data Source 3".Is it possible to configure it this way?Thanks in advance!

Dashboard: Avoid shortening question wording in e.g. question list widget

Hi,I’ve set up several Dashboards and in all of them in e.g. the question list widget the question wordings will automatically shorted with “...” at the end. Is there a possibility to get rid of that automatism? There must be a solution because today I saw a dashboard, where even wordings in multiple lines (5 lines!) where completely displayed.Thx

Ability to Custom Sort Heatmaps (Feature Improvement Suggestion)

It would be great if there was the ability to custom sort the order of the breakout displayed on the heatmap.  For example, we often like to use the heatmap feature to look at how the different tenure groups compare when responding to employee engagement questions.  After speaking with a Qualtrics support representative, the only option they have found is to relabel each of these groups with a letter in front of them, so they are sorted alphabetically (A - 3 to 6 months, B - 6 to 12 months, etc.).  Adding a letter in front seems like a clunky workaround and would much rather be able to customize the order instead.

How to add an "import date" metadata field to employee data when importing them into EX Directory

Hi everyone,My organization has an automation that imports new employees into the directory on a daily schedule.I would like to add a metadata field to each employee record that includes the date their data was imported into the Qualtrics directory.Unfortunately, I haven't been able to achieve this using the workflow tasks. Is there an alternative method to do this without editing the source file from which we import the employee data?Thank you in advance for your help!
