Topic: Custom Validation
Content validation is an effective way to ensure respondents are responding to your text entry questions the way you specifically tell them to. Qualtrics offers several different types of content validation, however, these are meant to cover the most common use cases such as email, phone number, postal code, number, date, etc.
Custom validation allows survey makers to tailor their custom logic for any scenario they need while using forced response and requiring the respondent to answer the question. Common use cases for custom validation include checking respondents choose the correct number of answer choices and making sure that two fields contain the same text entry.

Where to find this feature:
- Go to your Survey.
- Go to the Survey Builder tab.
- Select your question and enable Add validation.
- Select Custom.
- Create your validation logic.
- Click Save.
