Topic: Pulling Data Into a Second Survey

Not all research studies can be concluded after one session of survey taking, especially if there’s a time component involved that requires respondents to take a survey every day or every other week. Longitudinal surveys are a great solution for this use case that connects surveys so that the second survey retains and can display certain information for the same respondent.

To pull data into a second survey, many features are used such as embedded data, random number generator, contact lists, workflows, end-of-survey elements, authenticators, default choices, and more! While this solution may be a little time-consuming, it allows for research studies to provide a better experience for repeat respondents.

Learn how to follow up with the same respondents and start creating longitudinal surveys today!

How to set up your first survey:

  1. Create a Survey.
  2. Add your Questions.
  3. Go to the Survey Flow
  4. Add an Embedded Data for the ID.
  5. Insert a Random Number Piped Text as the value.
  6. Go to the Workflows tab.
  7. Choose the Survey response event.
  8. Set up a XMD task that saves each response as a contact.
