Default User Type, change "default" for new SSO users | XM Community

We have an automation build in with WorkDay the runs daily so that when we have a new employee join they automatically have a Qualtrics user  w/ SSO set up for them. Our User Type (UT) default does not have all of the needed permissions so we built out a new UT. As the automation runs we would like to not have to manually export the Users, change the UT on the csv and then re-upload the changes. Is there a way to change the default UT assigned to new users within Qualtrics?

If you use SSO, why not map whatever AD group (or some other attribute) that grants Qualtrics access to a desired UT? That way, the first time they login, their default UT will be automatically changed to the desired one.

@Pavel we would have to add a field in WorkDay to map it from and I’m trying to not add fields. I should have included that detail in my explanation. 99.5% of our users will fall under 1 user type and it will only be one-off instances, very rare, that we will grant any other UT access.
