Create a distribution for an individual without sending an email

Is it possible to create a distribution for an individual contact but not send out the survey email using the API? Following the steps here https://api.qualtrics.com/573e3f0a94888-create-distribution#generate-distribution-links it doesn't appear this is supported. I am handling the sending of emails so all I really need is the unique link to the survey for a contact in the directory.

Hi mroyski,
That example does work without sending any distributions. I've tried it just now with a test survey list I have set up:
image.pngIt's been about 5 minutes and my email (one of the contacts) hasn't received anything. The API call doesn't specify any information about what to include in an email either (eg: address, subject line, content etc), so it wouldn't be able to send one.
I think the information box below is meant to be placed beneath "Generate Links for Transaction Batch" further down the page.
