I am trying to set up a longitudinal survey where I send daily survey links to our participants' mobile phone
My questions are:
1) Other than using SMS, is there any other way to distribute? I know there is a Qualtrics offline app but am not sure if the survey can be distributed to participants via the app.
2) I want to distribute the daily surveys during random time blocks (for example: 9 am to 1pm, 1pm to 5 pm, 5 pm to 9pm) everyday and also randomize the times at which they are sent within each time block. Is there a preprogrammed feature in Qualtrics that can do this? From what I have seen, you can only push daily surveys at specified times. If not, can this be programmed using a web based script that uses the Qualtrics API/any other method?
3) Is there a way to close the survey at a specified time (for example, if participant has not responded after 2 hours) but re-open it the next day? Again, if not, can this be programmed using web based script that uses the Qualtrics API/any other method?
Thanks!

- Yes, SMS would be the best way to go but Qualtrics does have Whatsapp Distributions as well.If it is enabled in your license you can leverage that as well.
- This can be done via separate distribution automations you can create and set it to everyday where you can create 3 automations with separate time blocks. Which can be changed later as well until the survey is sent out.
- Yes, you can set survey availability within survey options and you will be able to later activate survey as well.
Hope this helps!

Thank you for your help! For point 3, do you know if this can be automated within survey availability so that it closes the survey two hours after the survey link has been sent and then reopens it automatically the next day?
Also, I was wondering if it is possible to do a display if on a question based on time, i.e. participants only see the question every Sunday.
Thanks!
- No, the survey's availability cannot be automated based on distribution, but the link expiry can be set within automation and normal distribution which would work the same. (Automation Link Expiration)
- Yes, it is possible. Follow the steps below:
Include an embedded data to capture day
Set display logic on that question
Hope it helps!
Awesome, thank you!
