Quotas Created Through API Not Updating Respondent Count | XM Community

Recently my team was able to automate our quota creation process. For each survey we run we have the same set of 37 quotas (your typical "completes," "18-24," "Mid Atlantic," type deal), and then multiple quota groups per vendor. This was a total time sink so we were able to dissect the API to automate these questions.
For all intents and purposes, these quotas look 100% correct. Everything is pointing to where it needs to, whether for quota logic or screening out extra responses. But -- none of our quotas created through this process are able to update as respondents complete a survey.
I manually created a handful of quotas that were identical to the API quotas, and they updated totally fine during fielding. The API quotas remained at 0. Even when I copied an API quota the counts stayed the same.
Has anyone encountered this issue before? We tried using different variables (i.e., quota undo) and even setting the respondent count ourselves, but with no change from 0. It's very frustrating, especially since it was a huge project just to get our script this far.
