@TomG Sorry for misleading. I have two problems that are interwoven. 1) the issue here, to take a "page count" into a randomized block. 2) problem is, that those 4 blocks I am referring to here, contain 89 items (22, 22, 22, and 23 items per page). These items are from one validated scale and should be fully randomized (problem discussion here). If I take your suggestion for the blocks, I cannot randomize the scale fully, because to date it is not possible to fully randomize my scale when the questions are in different blocks. They would have to be in the same block. What I could do, is to work with _one block,_ and _4 pages_, where I then would work with display logic and carry forward. For the latter, my question now here addressed on this option, where I then would have only one block and could not work with the survey flow logic you presented. Therefore my question was, whether I could implement the *page count" from one of my questions presented on one block. I hope this i
@TomG thank you for this smart logic! Because of another problem I have (here ), I now need to take the number from a question in a block. Do you have an Idea how I could do this, too? It is all a little tricky as I still have fround no feasible way to randomize my items, so right now I have them on four blocks.. Thank you in advance Alina
@Mohammedali_Rajapakar_Ugam Thank you for your thoughts on this. That sounds great. But how am I implementing this in the survey?
@Mohammedali_Rajapakar_Ugam Based on what you suggested, I will have problems to read data. Is there a way that qualtrics then only gives me one list of the 89 items? I otherwise will have 4 times 89 questions and depending on randomization, sometimes a missing, sometimes a hit. Thus, It will be awfully costly to prepare the data, as I would have to step through it for each participant (which will be about 600). Is there an option to preset this in Qualtrics?
@Mohammedali_Rajapakar_Ugam Thank you Mohammed. I have not come to the point to use carry forward, so I hope it works out!
@bansalpeeyush29 This is not possible. It is a matrix question, so 89 items are basically in one question. Which is why I couldt split it on several pages, as several questions can be represented on several pages, but not several items of one question on several pages. Thanks anyways for making time to answer! :)
Dear Laura I looked at the description of Randomization that was linked in you comment. Unfortunately, I have no such option under Advanced Randomization called "Question per page". Do you have an Idea what to do? Do I have to adjust settings? Also, it does not appear if I insert pages in a block.
That would imply that I would have only one question on each page also in the other parts of my study. so that would not work .. Thank you anyways for you attempt!
Thank you. It is interesting what youve done, but I have 89 questions, and as choices I have - for all the same - likert from 0 to 4, so a 5-point likert. If it would work, what would be the condition the user would meet to move to the next page in my case?
