TomG : That didn't work. It still keeps showing the default error message. I will keep investigating.
TomG : Thanks. Not super familiar with custom JS, so will have to investigate further. If I wanted a custom validation error message without any criteria when the page loads, would the code below work? And, would it go in the addOnload or addRead portions?jQuery("#"+this.questionId+" .ValidationError").html("CUSTOM VALIDATION ERROR MESSAGE");
TomG : Is there a way to add 2 different validation errors depending on which min/max criteria they are missing? E.g., if a min of 12 and max of 14 is required, I would like to provide a different validation error message depending on the number they selected . Right now, it shows the default message for each error.
MBesenyei : I had the exact same problem. I wanted 3 different groups, but the maximum number of items allowable in each group needed to be different. E.g. group 1 = 12 items, group 2 = 14 items, group 3 = 12 items, etc. Based on several discussions with the Qualtrics support team, I can confirm that this just isn't possible. You can set a min or max number in each group, but not different numbers for each group. The only way to achieve this in a similar setting was using a matrix question with validation rules. But, you lose some of the functionality that you get with pick, group, rank.
Facing a similar issue and was able to use the CSS provided by kirbycai to adjust the width of the pick, group, rank boxes. However, wondering if there is any way to span the data in each box across columns. E.g. if there are 12 items dragged in each box, can they show up as 2 columns within each box instead of one long list of 12? Perhaps after 6 are added, it auto drags to the next column, etc.?
