Hello @Shashi. This correct, I spoke to Qualtrics support who suggested the same. No need for a dedicated API call when the construction follows this obvious pattern, I agree. Thank you for your help! Best, Pierre
@Mslreen I've seen this reference. It seems like the body parameters documented for this reference do not match the code example. Is the code example the reference here? If so, I assume you are saying that I can simply ignore the parameters "message", "recipients" and "header" in the call since I have no contacts associated. Or, create a fake recipient list just to be able to generate an anonymous link?
Hello, I have a related question. I am programmatically creating, importing and activating 126 surveys into Qualtrics through the API. I want these surveys to be available through an anonymous link. There are no associated contact distributions, therefore the survey distribution API references do not seem appropriate here. Is there any v3 reference that allows retrieving such information? Thank you for your help.
@Anthony_R_CX Thank you for your answer. Yes, I tried exactly the same piece of code and multiple variants of it but nothing worked. I will make sure to report here if finally manage to send this query. In general, I think there is a good use case to extend the functionalities of the qualtRics package to deal with all API functionalities. If not in their vision, then there is a case for building a new R package... Best.
@Anthony_R_CX Hello Anthony. I was running into a similar issue using the httr package in R and trying to import a survey into an account based on a local qsf file. The upload_file() function was what was missing in my POST verb. It now works, thanks to your post. I am however trying to extend the functionality to copy surveys directly from the account rather than importing them. I've been trying a few syntaxes already but failed to make it work. I was wondering if you had tried that already? Or if you had any clue on how to figure out the right query options with this POST verb. Happy to raise this as a new discussion thread if considered more appropriate by the community.
