Hello everyone, I am currently creating an experiment through Qualtrics. In the experiment, participants will be solving anagrams (word puzzles). In addition, they will have the option to request for some help. We want participants to feel like someone is actually helping them. So if we present the anagram with a text entry question and followed by a question that said something like "Would you like some help, [your name]?" with the following options ->Yes->NoWhat could I do to make participants feel like someone is messaging them with a text/string that entails a hint? I'm guessing that code would be involved in this scenario...if anyone knows how to use JavaScript, you would be an amazing help!
Hello community, I have custom code for a timer. However, when respondents go back to a previous page, another timer shows up and starts from 12:00—I just want one timer to display. If anyone knows how to fix this I would really appreciate that : )Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.addOnload(function(){var header = document.createElement("div"); header.className = "header" header.id = "header_1"; var timer = document.createElement("div"); timer.className = "timer"; timer.id = "timer_1"; timer.innerHTML = "Time Remaining: 12:00"; header.appendChild(timer);document.body.insertBefore(header, document.body.firstChild); function startTimer(duration, display) { var timer = duration, minutes, seconds; var myTimer = setInterval(function() { minutes = parseInt(timer / 60, 10) seconds = parseInt(timer % 60, 10); minutes = minutes < 10 ? "0" + minutes : minutes; seconds = seconds < 10 ? "0" + seconds : seconds; var text = ('innerText' in display)? 'innerText' : 'textContent'; display[tex
Hey community,Just wondering if there is a way to track participants' leaving a the survey window. I am implementing a task where participants could easily look up answers to questions. Given this, I was wondering if anyone out there knows a way to track this so that upon inspecting the data, I can remove these respondents accordingly. Thanks!
Hello Qualtrics Community, In my survey, participants are asked to solve a series of anagrams. However, they only have 12 minutes (720 seconds). In a block, there are 10 anagrams. Each page has an anagram.I want the timer to be displayed for each page, but I don't want it to refresh. Below is code I tried from this source: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/7656/how-to-implement-a-time-limit-at-the-block-level-plus-auto-advancing{ var header = document.createElement("div"); header.className = "header" header.id = "header_1"; var timer = document.createElement("div"); timer.className = "timer"; timer.id = "timer_1"; timer.innerHTML = "Time Remaining: 00:10"; header.appendChild(timer);document.body.insertBefore(header, document.body.firstChild);function startTimer(duration, display) { var timer = duration, minutes, seconds; var myTimer = setInterval(function() { Qualtrics.SurveyEngine.setEmbeddedData('timeRemaining', timer); minutes = parseInt(timer
