I am working on a quiz in which my students select how many questions they want to answer. I have an Embedded Data variable with this number, let's call it X.I then have a set of 300 questions that are displayed to them randomly. But I would like the survey to end after they have answered X questions.I thought about two ways on how to do it:In Survey Flow, when I randomize the 300 blocks, telling the randomizer to randomly present ${e://Field/X} elements. This doesn't work, it asks me for a number. In the Javascript of each question, introduce a counter. Tell the Javascript to send the student to the end of the survey if that counter is equal to X. I have figured how to introduce the counter, but I unfortunately lack the knowledge to introduce a function that will send students to the end of the survey.Any help on how to do it (in either of these ways, or any other) is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi,A few days ago I asked how to introduce 3 chances to guess the answer of a Quiz question (https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/14046/three-validation-tries#latest). ahmedA very kindly provided me with a code that fit my needs perfectly. My issue is that, while in some questions the answer is only 1 text entry (X), in others the answer consists of two text entries (X and Y). See for example this picture (where I use the "Text Entry/Form" tool of Qualtrics). I have been trying to adapt the code unsuccessfully, but I think that this should have a simple solution for someone who has JS knowledge. My two questions:In the JS code from above link I think I fetch students' answer with the command: "given_answer = Number(el.value);". If I instead have two entries (I am using a Text Entry/Form question with 2 questions), which command should I use to fetch the first text entry and which should I use to fetch the second one?Is there any way I can make the "Check your answer" button ap
Hi,I am designing a quiz on Qualtrics in which my students will answer one question at a time. The answer is always a number (text entry) from 0 to 100. I would like to give them 3 tries. If they answer the question correctly in any of these 3 tries, they get one point and move to the next question. If they do not answer the question correctly in any of the 3 tries, they do not get any point but move anyways to the next question.I have two questions on how to implement this:How can I design a validation check that gives them 3 tries and that sends them to the next screen as soon as 1) they answer correctly OR 2) they fail the 3 tries? (I found this related link, but unfortunately I do not know how to apply it to my case: https://www.qualtrics.com/community/discussion/comment/17110#Comment_17110)How can I tell a Counter variable that it should increase by one if the student's answer was correct, but not do so if the answer was incorrect?I am quite new to Qualtrics, so please do not assu
