Hello everyone,I am trying to create a survey with a little tetris game (URL) within my Qualtrics Survey and would like to record the participants key presses, specifically the space-bar. For that I have created the iframe like this:https://lucasrmagalhaes.github.io/github-games/" width="600px">And in my Question, I have put the following javascript to record the spacebar presses:I have also added an embedded data field in the survey builder: "space_counter"Unfortunately the code doesn't work with the iFrame and doesn't show up in the recorded data. (I tried it with other questions without an iFrame and it works fine) How can I log the keypresses that are happening in the iFrame (tetris game)? Or is it technically impossible to solve?Thank you so much for your help!
Dear all,my qualtric study has to parts (first study and a follow-up-study). I am using qualtrics and prolific. In the first study i am randomly assigning the participants into 2 groups. One groups is supposed to be reading "chapter nr. 1", the other "chapter nr. 2".In the next study (that's taking place the next day), participants that read "chapter 1" in the first study should be shown "chapter 2" and vice versa. Is there any posibility ( via qualtrics and prolific) to automaticly assign them to the right condition in study 2?Thank you!
Hello everyone,I am currently building a multiple choice survey via key presses and need help with hiding the answer choices. The survey consists of 77 questions, in which the participants first see a fixation cross and then a target question that prompts them to either press "J" for Yes or "F" for No. Right now, I am using this.hideChoices(); for each question. When I run the preview, however, the answer choices still show up for a few seconds before they delayingly dissapear and the target image appears. The 'flashing' is unfortunately quite problematic as I want the participants to focus on the fixation crosses and targets only. Is there something wrong with my code, perhaps? Or is there a way to hide the choices for a whole block, so that the Qualtrics Engine wouldn't have to run it for every single question? And does it have to do something with the browser I am using? I have already tried it out with Safari, Chrome and Microsoft Edge, and tried putting the entire code in addOnloa
Hello,I have created a Survey that has 2-answer multiple choice questions. The participants are suppossed to press either "J" for Yes and "F" for No, after which it should auto-advance to the next page. I've added JS to implement the key pressing as input, but it seems to work only party. All questions that are to be answered with "J" to be correct work perfectly, but the other way doesn't work for some reason. The key pressing is not registered as input and the auto-advance doesn't work. Can you help me?I would appreciate any help I want to thank you in advance! Here's the code I've got so far:Does it have to do with the values I've chosen? Also, I'm planning on hiding the radiobuttons in css, like i did with the nextButton (#NextButton {display:none;}). Is that possible? If so, how? Thanks again!-Birte
