Length of service

I am sending surveys to staff members and I have the date they joined the company (DOC) as an embedded field. Can I use this to calculate a filed which shows how long they have worked for the company. Ie to show date of survey minus DOC date as a number of months?Thanks

Display images using loop and merge no longer seems to work

Hi all, I've created many surveys before where I display images using loop and merge which work fine, but my old technique doesn't seem to be working on my latest survey and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Or, has something about the way images are displayed changed in the last couple of years and I need a new solution?Here's what I do:-I list the image URLs (I tested the URLs, they work) as a field in the L&M array (picture #1).-In the question, I insert a dummy picture, and change the URL field to the L&M field code (picture #2).However, when I preview the survey, instead of showing the image, it just shows the end of the L&M field: "5}" (picture #3).Any ideas what might be going on? I've looked back in my old surveys and as far as I can tell, they're set up exactly like this and display pictures just fine.

Repeating a randomly selected question for validation

Hello,I am creating a survey with several levels of randomness, but I want to show the participant the same question later in the survey to validate their sample.In the survey, the participant is randomly presented 10 out of 20 blocks, and in each block, 1 out of 10 possible questions is randomly presented. (they answer 10 questions in total) I want to have an 11th question, where the user must answer 1 of the previous questions again. Ideally, this 11th question would be randomly placed within the original 10 questions, but it is acceptable if it is just an extra 11th question. Is there a way to do this in Qualtrics? (Also, I am just using the free trial account, without the full feature set)

Selecting multiple blocks for randomization

Hi everybody,  On a monthly basis I am creating surveys that consist of 1400 blocks (with 2 questions each). I want 20 of those blocks to be randomly appointed to a participant of the survey. Right now I am adding all these 1400 blocks manualy to the randomizer but this takes forever. Is there a way to select multiple blocks and add them to the randomizer simultaniously? Or is there another way to speed up this proces? Thank you in advance!

Automated Process: Removing Contact Records from a Mailing List

Hello I have a unique situation. I need to remove all contacts in a single mailing list monthly. My use case is as followsEvery month I upload a new list of contact records I need to remove the contacts in the list before uploading new contact records because some of last month’s contacts may not be valid for the next months distributionI found a way to do this using the code task using Javascript but I’m getting an error message I’ve never seen before.  Has anyone seen this issue or know how to resolve it? Does anyone know of a different way to accomplish what I’m asking? I need this to be automated as well. Embedded data from 1st survey stored as embedded data in 2nd survey for use as piped text

I’ve looked through a lot of other posts where I think folks are trying to achieve something similar but I’m not sure if there’s a different way to do this because my scenario is going to have a lot of pieces of data to pass from the first survey to the second.I’m building a survey for employees to upload files (pictures) and a second survey where, ideally, I can bring in the URL for those pictures from the first survey as embedded data that I can pipe in to an <img> tag so that the images can be voted on for a particular category.In the first survey, I’ve set up a quota and logic to store each file as a separate piece of embedded data, so that I could use survey logic in the second survey how many radio options to display images for. And I’ve figured out how to pipe and image URL into a radio option.But I haven’t figured out how to get the file URL as embedded data from the first survey into the embedded data in the second survey so that it can be piped text in a multiple choice

Access to Directory - Standard/Standard-Qualtrics

I am trying to set a rule tnat standard users can’t see default directory - right now they can see them.  I looked at the roles and realized that there are two roles - Standard and Standard - Qualtrics. I assumed the latter one is the latest/newest one).  We created a cloned standard account and tweaked the settings but now, they have access to the directory which they are not supposed to.  Should I toggle Acess to Directory XM off?  But when I did that, I checked my account and found that my lists that I created now are missing.Any suggestion?Thanks

Is there a way to customize the initial unsubscribe message when clicking on the Opt-Out link?In Qualtrics, I know there's a way to configure subscription messages as explained here: Qualtrics Directory Messages. However, I can't seem to find a way to customize the first message that appears when someone clicks on the Opt-Out link.This one: Does anyone know if this is possible, or if there are any workarounds?

Dear all,I want to make the text entry next to choice text instead of being two different rows, but I failed to do it through any Javascript code. Therefore, I was wondering if there any one know about the right code? Plus, how to customize the size of the text entry so that I could make it looks like normal in the phone model as well? Create a daily summary report with commnet.s

Hi,I would like to create a automared way for users to receive a daily summary which contains the feedback commnets for the day. I thought about using a simple dahnoard page with a table and push thw informatikn there. However my solution has limitations around ability to export full size widgets

Email Editor Deletes Parts of HTML Code

We are migrating platforms to Qualtrics. We have an email template we copied and pasted the HTML from Medallia into Qualtrics. The code mostly works perfectly fine when running in Qualtrics. Embedded in the HTML code is logic to display a section of the footer differently than on desktop. This uses certain snippets of HTML code to function. When I paste the code into the Qualtrics email editor HTML and then save the message, it deletes certain pieces of the code that makes this functionality work. In particular it deletes this tag which is highlighted in the screenshot below: <!-->Before pasting/saving in QualtricsAfter pasting/saving in QualtricsThe editor does not tell you that this code got removed from your template after pasting and saving. The section under the tag which is a part of the email footer for mobile is now completely missing for customers viewing the email on mobile. Repeat a question to participants showing their previous responses and allow them to edit it

Hi everyone. I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to do the following and suggestions would be appreciated. Essentially, I want to have a bipolar matrix asked before respondents are subjected to some sort of treatment. The respondents would fill out the matrix like the one below choosing their responses. For this example, let’s say they simply chose the right most bubble for each statement. Then the participants would be subjected to the treatment and asked to evaluate the same bipolar matrix again. However, I would really like for them to see the responses they selected prior to being subjected to the treatment. So instead of a blank matrix to refill out, it would look like this but they would be able to select new bubbles if their opinions had changed.Is there a way to do this? I’ve been playing around with carry forward statements but it only shows the statements and I want the choices carried forward as well.

Website Survey Look & Feel - Simple layout

Since Qualtrics Simple Layout is now the recommended style for website surveys, I tried revising a current slider - 5 star question (from flat layout) and numbers appeared - a ‘1’ near the first star and a ‘5’ under the fifth star.  An ‘*’ also showed up preceding the question.  Are these additions required to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards?  Or can these elements be removed?  Thanks!

Future Date Validation

Trying to compare entered date to embedded data date and make sure the entered date is after the embedded data date. This is being applied in a Loop and Merge block. Things are mostly working, but for some reason dates entered in 2025 are NOT being allowed, even if they should be passing the validation. Validation settings are as follows:Current loop, entered date, Matched Regex for mm/dd/yyyy: ^(0[1-9]|1[0-2])/(0[1-9]|[12]\d|3[01])/(19|20)\d{2}$ AND Current loop date entered “is greater than” embedded data date, defined at the beginning of the survey in survey flow as: ‘Plus14 = ${date://OtherDate/m%2Fd%2FY/+14%20day}’ Validation properly fails when dates are entered within 14 days of today, provided they are in 2024. Dates after 12/31/2024 also fail, but should be allowed to pass...

Append embedded data in URL to personal survey link

Is it possible to append URL parameters to a personal survey link in an email invite? I have tried 3 different ways, but each one is not making a successful link. The link breaks or is unclickable. Example of what I tried: ${l://SurveyURL}&ExampleField=${e://Field/ExampleField}  I have an intake form survey that upon submission, a workflow sends out a survey to a contact list with a personal link to each contact in the list. I want the survey link to have an embedded data field sourced from the intake form appended to each of the links so that when each of the recipients open the survey, it can use that value that was appended to the link. I don’t want to use an anonymous link because I want a reminder to go out a few days after to those that do not complete the survey. If this is not possible, I think the only other option may be to first have a workflow task that updates the all the contacts in the list to have the field set as embedded data.

Comparing time values in Display Logic

hi,Just found this NEW issue and thought I’d share it.  I have a form that is only “available” from 9 PM to 1:30 AM.  I want users that open the form during the day (between 1:30 AM and 9 PM) to see a message (text graphic question) that says it’s not available until 9 PM. SO, I used display logic after first capturing the time: ${date://CurrentTime/MT} in an embedded data field. When I compared it (we’ve been using it for a long time - years) I compared it using the following Display Logic:Display if CapturedTIME was greater than 1:30 and if CapturedTIME was less than or equal to 21:00.  But today we found that this no longer worked properly.  After some troubleshooting (the fun part), we found that the end time was working in comparison but NOT the start time (1:30).  Through trial and error we found that we have to add a leading zero to the hard-coded comparison value of 1:30.  So when we use display logic and compare to 01:30 it worked. Hope this helps others.

Repeat a block a different number of times

Hi Community,I am hoping someone can help me with my survey.I have one survey with several blocks, and only one I would like to repeat several times, and when this block has been answered completed it will continue to the following block.For this specified block, I want it to be repeated more than one, the number of times it will be depended on each participant.That is, I may have participants where this block will be repeated twice and others may be once or five times.How should I indicate the survey in this field? In my case, I should ask my clients, how our different engineers did the job. For example, if I have one participant to my survey with 2 engineers (electrician and painter), this block must be repeated one for the electrical engineer and another one for the painter, and I must also include the name of the guild.I was thinking to include a date embedded with the number. However I don’t know how I should indicate the information releated to the guild.How do I program this blo

Simple Layout - CSS to remove right padding

In Simple Layout, the navigation buttons are aligned to the far right of the screen, with padding added to push the “next button” far beyond the edge of questions.  This design makes centering images, e.g. a logo, impossible.  (In the attached screen shot, the html to resize the graphic is being ignored, but that’s a separate issue.) My end-goal is to remove the additional right-padding and have the navigation button align to the right, or centered. I have seen the code from user @tom_1842, but it does not seem to impact Simple Layout; various code snippets for moving the navigation buttons also seem to fail on Simple Layout..Skin .SkinInner {width: 100% !important;max-width: 100% !important;} In short, is there a way to change padding (or make the container 100% width), and a way to move the nav buttons? (I’ve looked for a Simple Layout CSS guide, but have come up empty) Screen shot example
