I have a question that requires respondents to select one or more options from a list of 100+ items, and I'm trying to find the best way to balance usability with data cleanliness.Here's my dilemma: Autocomplete is ideal for long lists because it dynamically narrows options as the respondent types — but it only supports single selection. Multiple choice with multi-select works for allowing more than one answer, but forcing someone to scroll through 100+ options is a poor experience.The workaround I've considered is stacking multiple autocomplete fields sequentially, using display logic to show each successive field only if the respondent indicates they have another selection to make. The problem is that this could get unwieldy fast — imagine someone needing to make 8–10 selections. I've also thought about achieving something similar through Loop & Merge, but the experience still feels clunky relative to what I'm after.My ideal solution is a true multi-select

Hi everyone! I have x3 questions:Q1. Name of Coordinator (Text)Q2. Is the Coordinator the same person as the Supervisor? (Yes/No)Q3. Name of Supervisor (Text) Plan:Q3 should not be shown if the coordinator and supervisor are the same person (i.e. answer is YES).I have successfully used both display logic and survey flow to exclude it.What I am missing is for Q3 to be autofilled, with the answer from Q1, when skipped, so that the data is there when exported in excel. My survey is a bit longer than the above (multiple queries linked to the Coordinator and the Supervisor’s contact details etc) but the principle stays the same. I cannot figure it out based on previous answer on this forum, sorry!Mirko

I have a form field question with 8 statements. I would like 2 of the statements to have the autocomplete feature - Current Specialty(s) and Desired State(s), is this possible to do in keeping this all in one question and not having to break it out into separate questions to enable autocomplete?  

Lets say I have a feedback survey for courses. I have a CourseID embedded field which gets defined as a 7 digit code in the QR code/URL. So each course uses the same survey but with a different CourseID so that way I can tell which course the student took the survey for. Now I have an excel spreadsheet that has the list of Course IDs and the full title of the courses. Is there a way for me to connect that list to use so that way I can display the course title instead of the CourseID in reports tab, survey title or results tab Some flexibility notes-I would prefer to use the excel spreadsheet but can use other methods for the list-I cannot use the Course name in the URL-I need the course name to be displayed in either the results tab, the survey itself, or reports tab.

We are getting an error message on our preview link. The survey has been published and trying to do testing on the survey. We keep getting an error message that says “Sorry! We were unable to find this survey.” then a random error code. I cleared all browsing history and cookies, just to see if that would work and it did not. ☹️Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Amy

Hello Everyone,I am trying to create a workflow in which I can trigger a single survey twice on the basis of different triggers.Here's the workflow that I need:Trigger survey  to send out.Survey 1 gets answered, i.e., respondent selects Detractor for his NPS response.Now again, same survey gets triggered for the same respondent in the second instance.Respondent gives NPS response other than his previous one, i.e., he becomes a Promoter.Now, I want the response of the second instance to overwrite the previous response.However, if respondent skips responding in the second instance, previous response remains final.So, basically if respondent gives new response, update the response else use the previously saved one.Can anyone suggest how I can do that using QualtricsThanks in advance.

I have a survey where participants will enter in a web link in a open text field, say their favorite website to buy herbs… I then have an email that gets sent out to stakeholds who need to visit the website that the participant stated. I know I can use piped text to have it show exactly how the participant entered it in, but ideally I would love for it to be a clickable hyperlink so that they don’t have to copy & paste to visit the site, they could just click from within the email. You can create hyperlinks within an email, but I am only able to see how to do it for a static site, I need it to change the URL depending on the recipient response.

I would like to send a follow up question to the participant 2 weeks after they submit a survey, the catch is that I would like the question to be within the original survey, not a separate follow up survey, additionally I would like to send it repeatedly, every 2 weeks, until they fill out the 1 question that will be asked.I was thinking about sending out a retake link but would like to make it as easy as possible, wondering if there is a way to do in line question within the email body while hiding the rest of the survey (https://www.qualtrics.com/support/survey-platform/data-and-analysis-module/retake-survey-link/#HidingContentDuring) it appears that it’ll only work if I post the actual retake link and they click on it, not a huge deal, just trying to make this as simple and the least am

Hello everyone,I’m trying to set up a workflow in Qualtrics where the same survey can be triggered twice based on different events.Here’s what I’m aiming to achieve: The survey is sent the first time, and the respondent answers the NPS question (for example, they select Detractor). Later, the same survey is triggered again for the same respondent. If the respondent completes the second survey and provides a different NPS response (for example, Promoter), I want this latest response to replace the earlier one. However, if the respondent does not respond the second time, the original response should remain as the final value. In short, I want the system to update the NPS response only when a new response is received; otherwise, it should retain the previous one.Has anyone implemented something like this or can suggest the best way to handle it in Qualtrics?

Hey Guys!!Has anyone figured out how to give dynamic groups of users Read access to dashboards without having to touch the permissions of each person individually? We thought about trying to set up our default Security Role to allow everyone to have “read” access to all dashboards (the caveat being they have to be invited to specific surveys of course). The other strange thing we discovered is that creating a User Role to “group” people together via metadata fields only gave you access to the participants who were invited to the survey, not access to everyone in your Global Directory.Use Case:  A survey is going out to 12,000 people in a business unit and the requirement is anyone who is a Manager (has direct reports) or higher should have access to see the aggregated Dashboard results. These are people who are still participants but because of their role will be given Dashboard access. Out of the 12,000 we are talking like 2500 people. Another requirement is that all

Hi allI would like to know if it is possible to create a survey that will display a unique set of options based on the user. I have a different data set per user which Id like them to respond to. Is it possible that when they enter their own name at the start, that then references the data and provides their own corresponding options to then respond to?eg, John Smith has the names of 10 people in the data set that Id like him to provide reviews for. When he enters his name into the Survey, those 10 people will then auto-fill for him to review. Id like to build this for around 50 people who will each be required to review completely different lists of names.Any help appreciated!

Hi XM Community,Sharing a free tool I put together for bulk exporting individual response reports to PDF. The one-at-a-time export workflow comes up fairly often when people need full response documentation for audits, case management, or archiving, so hopefully this saves some of you a few hours.The Challenge: Qualtrics only lets you export individual response PDFs one at a time, with four clicks per response. For a survey with 50 responses that is 200+ clicks and up to 30 minutes of manual work. There is no native bulk export option and no API endpoint for triggering individual response PDF exports.The Solution: Three lightweight browser console scripts that handle the entire workflow automatically:✓ Queue a PDF export for every response row on the page ✓ Download all queued files via the Manage Downloads modal ✓ Clean up completed jobs from the queue after downloadingWatch the demo: 

I created a category for N/A and na comments, but it also categorized comments that merely contain the keywords N/A or na. Do you know if there is any approach or trick to generate only N/A comments?Thank you for your help!

Hi everyone, I’m having trouble with the UI/UX of a Qualtrics embedded form. The alignment seems inconsistent - sometimes elements are left‑aligned, and other times extra whitespace appears. What’s the best approach to improve or control the design? Any tips or best practices would be appreciated!

I have a survey that will go live on Monday with a reminder to be sent out on Thursday. The stakeholder would like a full raw data file of all responses emailed Monday-Friday daily of the week the survey launches. I do not want to manually export if there’s an easy way to automate this. 

Background:We heavily utilize the WDC 2.0 data connection in Tableau Desktop to pull in Qualtrics survey information. In October, Tableau released the 3.0 version of the WDC, which requires Qualtrics to build a .taco file to connect to it. The last WDC 2.0 compatible version was Tableau 2022.4.  We assumed we’d continue to use 2.0 until Qualtrics released a 3.0 version and told users not to upgrade their Tableau Desktop versions.Problem:In the past two weeks many users have reported their Qualtrics connectors have stopped working.
