Survey Platform

Hi everyone, I am using Qualtrics for the first time. I was given PDF and Word files for necessary questionnaires, but when I tried to import those files to Qualtrics it says the document type is incompatible. Is there a way to turn them into .txt format and import or should I manually type in all the questions?Much appreciated if anyone can help!

I launched a survey with three questions yesterday, asking respondents to input the time they spent on certain administrative roles.  The question type is “Form Field”.  Question 1 has 5 fields, Question 2 has 3 fields and Question 3 has 10 fields. On the Result page, the first question shows an error message:  “An unexpected error has occurred”.  In addition, the respondents’ input to this question is omitted when the survey data is exported.  Luckily, I can still see respondents’ input to this question one by one if I click “View Response” in the Data & Analysis page. Why is that?  I want to fix this error, otherwise, data of Question 1 will not been reflected in the exported spreadsheet.  Would you please help? Note: There is no such issue with the remaining two questions.  

Hello everyone, is there a way to get Salesforce contacts updated after a survey has been sent to them?The distribution of the survey happens automatically through a message trigger in QX. When a contact gets added to the QX list, a specific survey will be sent to them. The goal is that our agents get the info, if an email with that survey has been sent to a customer. If the customer got one, but hasn’t participated (which we would know as there wouldn’t be a created record in Salesforce with the response), our agents would have the option to reach out to them.Is this possible? Thanks in advance!

Hi,In the Audience Management program, there is a Panel Invitation Survey.Is it somehow possible to show a message to the respondent when they fill in an email address that is already a member of the panel? So that they don’t need to fill in the registration again. Some people just forget what they subscribed to already in the past :) I tried using the Authenticator, but I would actually need an “opposite authenticator”.Because now, when using the authenticator, when I fill in a new email address, then I want the respondent to be able to continue to the rest of the survey,but with the authenticator, they get a red error message indicating “too many login attempts”. Even if we customize the displayed message to “you are not a panel member yet, please continue your registration” instead and put the “Maximum authentication attempts” to 1, there is still that in-between screen with the message in red...

Hello! I am trying to program a gabor granger study manually in the survey platform (without Qualtrics' specialized gabor granger tool). My survey logic is incredibly complex to the point that I do not think it is feasible I will be able to program all the permutations needed based on how respondents answer a question. I have 3 products with 10-12 price points each. Per best practices, I need to randomize the starting price point, and then randomize price points after, based on their previous response until the respondent gets to the max price point they would pay.If anyone has advice or sample survey logic of how they've done this in the past, I would be forever grateful!!Thank you so much!

Hello - I have a stakeholder asking for survey that allows team members to nominate other team members for our annual awards. We have 10k team members so having a dropdown list is not going to work. In the past we’ve tried loop and merge with free text box but that made the export beyond rough. As a respondent I could nominate 1 person or 20 people or even 100 if I really wanted too. Thoughts on the best way to structure the survey so that when we export the results it’s not difficult to compile?TIA, I appreciate the assistance!

Hi,We are trying to set up SSO in our organization in Qualtrics.Below are my queries:In Authentication tab, I came to know there is a check box which when enabled,  automatically creates a user in Qualtrics. I am not able to locate the checkbox. Does it need to be enabled by Qualtrics ? For those users who do not have any other role of dashboard or survey provided to them, I would like to display a message and a link to survey to raise request. Now I know this can be achieved by having a custom dashboard link with customized message. Is there any standard messaging mechanism for this ?Thanks in advance.Neha Tank

Has anyone noticed that the Qualtrics user types for example “Participant” are no longer allowing users to view the XM platform or their dashboard projects? All of a sudden, all they can see is Manager assist when we have been using this default setting for years. They are saying we have to edit it per user instead of at the user type level even though we never made any changes (we cant it is grey out)

Within this setup, we have multiple user groups and access levels that determine which dashboards and tickets each person can view. The ChallengeWe currently have two main user types — one tied to a specific branch, and another that oversees multiple branches within a cooperative-like structure. Hi community,Is there any way to record incomplete survey responses when the survey has only one page?I already tried adjusting the Incomplete survey responses settings in Survey Options — selecting: “Record” Timer starts from “Last time they edited a response”   However, when the survey has only one page, Qualtrics doesn’t seem to record any incomplete responses (no entries in Responses in progress). It only records after the respondent clicks the button to change page.Has anyone found a workaround for this?Thanks in advance!

How do I make it so that authenticated participants (i.e., from a contact list) can use the same link (with an embedded userid on the end) to do multiple responses? More specifically, Imagine survey “mood” is presented on multiple different days across several weeks. The same survey is used each time (i.e., the URL does not change) and the userid suffix is added in order to authenticate. So, participant 11002 would do “mood” survey on days 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, & 14. Would adding another suffix work? For example, adding a “wave = 1” for the URL on day 2 and “wave = 2” for the URL on day 4… I just don’t want to have participants receive a message saying that they have already completed the survey (which we have on purpose for other (not “mood”) surveys in the study). 

I have a multiple-choice question with options 1 to 10 and want labels over 1 and 10 like how we have NPS question. Can someone help me with the custom code? I tried to add text over the first and last options, but the format is not looking good

Hello Qualtrics Community, I'm new to qualtrics and I'm working on building a survey. However, I'm not sure if what I am wanting to do is possible. The first thing is that I'm trying to dynamically display images and image/question-specific metadata. From a .csv containing 1000+ questions and their labels, I want to create questions directly from the .csv and essentially import the corresponding image, image metadata, and other related information (rather than doing it by hand). Alternatively, I was wondering if it is possible to create all 1000+ questions programmatically and then deploy static questions in a random order in the survey. The second thing is dynamic typing into a field. I have ~4000 possible answer choices and dropdowns/multiple choice would be too cumbersome. Some of these answer choices are synonymous with one another so it would ideal that they would retain that synonymy behind the scenes. Hi,  I am facing issues with translation for Powered by Qualtrics URL. The URL opens up in English irrespective of translation added, this is potentially creating issue where strict translation is needed.  Can this be raised as Qualtrics Feature request for survey product?  Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Megha Koli

Am interested to find out some clever ways to go about achieving the conditions for a candidate survey to be sent. Hopefully someone on here has done something very similar or identical. 😅Survey to be sent to:for each application, anyone who has been in both Phone screen and Decline later buckets for each application, anyone who has been in both Phone screen and Offer accepted bucketsCurrently, I have a report set up that tells me the date/time a candidate entered entered a bucket and has a row for each bucket. This report is cumulative so the number of rows only ever grows.i.e. if Bob enters phone screen on 26/10/2025, the report that runs at 10pm on 26/10/2025 will have 1 row. Then if Bob enters decline later on 28/10/2025, the report that runs at 10pm 28/10/2025 will have 2 rows (Bob in phone screen and Bob in decline later).The report above can also be modified to be non-cumulative which means that in the same example, Bob will have 1 row in both the 26/10/2025 and 28/10/2025 repo

Hello,I have a survey that has two workflows requesting approval through a retake URL.  One for time off and one for funding.  I would like to create a third workflow that will send an email to the requestor when both of the retakes have been completed and that notifies them of the outcome.  I feel like this is doable, but not sure how… any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,today the new access right “view XM platform” is active. From my understanding disabling this for a custom role should rewoke the possibility to to administrative tasks on the platform like creating project, editing survey and so on, right?We turned that switch on and off but we cannot see any difference accessing the platform.Any ideas?Thx :-)

Hi everyone!I'm trying to find a way to share the Response Report though a workflow rather than the Response Summary.In the End of Survey blok in the Survey Flow, one can generate a Response Report and display it to the respondent.Is there a way to push the URL of the Response Report into an Embedded Data field which I could then use in a workflow?

Figma Make links don’t work in unmoderated tests in Qualtrics. AI-generated prototyping is going to explode in the immediate future so this would be a great adjustment to see so we can support the use of them for product research. 

I’ve always used a custom “From” address for my distributions, but recently I can’t send any unless I use the predefined Qualtrics address (noreply@qemailserver.com).If I try with my custom address, I get an error and the distribution won’t launch.Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a system bug? It’s been happening for several weeks now.Thanks in advance!
