Hi everyone,I just wanted to make sure that this is correct:It isn’t possible to use the API to grab a survey template from a library and make a survey project out of it---or is it?I have scanned the documentation for the respective endpoints (library, survey definitions, survey CRUD) and I have tried a few things with the API itself, but couldn’t make it work. Did I overlook something?
Hi everybody!I am new to using the Qualtrics API and already managed to duplicate surveys and activate them. Now I want to share them with a user group. With the information given in the API documentation, I was able to do so in principle, but all of the individual permissions (Edit Survey, Translate Survey, Copy Survey Questions, Set Survey Options, ...) are unchecked. How do I check them using the API? More specifically, what do I have to include in the body/payload of the API call?As a side question: Is the API documentation really working correctly? I looked up the "[POST] Share Survey" documentation but only found a very generic "permissions" line under [Docs | Body] and a couple of lines that look like placeholders ("property1", "property2") under [Try It | Body | Raw]. How can I find the correct names for all permissions? I even tried the placeholders as well as some stuff I took from inspecting the UI ([Survey Editor | Tools | Collaborate], leading to some "PP_..." items plus
Hi!We are currently using the survey-tagging function for our reporting. (The dropdown field that appears when you publish a survey or the menu available under [Tools | Survey tagging] in the survey editor.)Unfortunately, we now face the requirement to change a couple of hundred project labels, so my colleague asked whether we could do this using the API. But there seems to be no such field among the usual suspects, i.e., endpoints such as survey definitions or survey options.Do I see this correctly or is it hidden somewhere else? Just want to make sure.
Hi everybody!I feel like I searched the entire API documentation but haven't found what I need: A list of members for a certain group (the same thing could also apply to divisions, for example, but groups are what we currently use). Going to [Admin | Groups] in the UI yields exactly this, by the way, but I want to automate/speed up certain reporting tasks that we have to carry out regularly. There are instructions on "Managing Groups", "Managing Users", "Get User", "Get Group", however, I see no way of combining the respective API calls into a group member list. Neither do the group-related responses yield a member list nor do the user-related responses contain group affiliations. Am I missing something here?
Hi everybody! We have started to automate our response downloads. However, I found that there seems to be no option to use QIDs (instead of just Q...) as column headers in the resulting files using the API—while there is such an option (called "Use internal IDs in header") in the front-end for manual downloads. Is this correct or am I missing something in the API documentation? I consider this to be an important feature since the QID is the only unique/stable identifier of a question (the Q numbers are a mess).Should be an easy answer for the pros around here. :)
