Add comment section to questions?

Is there a way to add a comment section to questions of any type, just in case a responder wants to same something about a specific question?

I see other people saying to add an optional text response after making a choice (i.e. after selecting one option in a multiple choice question), but I would prefer to have one spot only per question (instead of after every individual choice) where people can comment if they choose to.

Thank you for your help!

The only way is to create text entry question after every question.

Hi @howellg ,

There’s no way to add comment section to a question for respondent, you can work around by pairing your question with a text-entry one. However, this is against best-practice standards since too much text-type is actually take a lot of space and annoying.

My advice is to add only one text-entry question at the end for those comment
Hope it helps

How do we raise this as a product request?

It seems absurd that we cannot find a simpler method of capturing linked qualitative input from users as is standard practise in the broader market. All other major competitors do this.

@DRiddell You can put the idea up in Evolve Evolve: Product Ideas | XM Community
In a survey, the purpose is to capture a lot of data in a structured way, there’s still room for free comment but it should be specific and not too much because it can overwhelm you. There’s a different between Qualitative and Quantitative.
