Adding embedded data to SurveyLink (email distribution)

I am trying to append embedded data to this survey link when composing an email, for example adding ?product_id=2&flow=${e://Field/ff_flow} but cannot figure out where in the link below it should be placed.${l://SurveyLink?d=Take%20the%20Survey} I thought it would be ${l://SurveyLink?product_id=2&flow=${e://Field/ff_flow} =Take%20the%20Survey} but that doesn’t work.Any help would be much appreciated!Thanks.

How does *Qualtrics* randomly assign participants "under the hood"?

A reviewer of our manuscript wants to know precisely how participants were randomized in our surveys. We already say they were evenly randomized, so I think they want to know what Qualtrics’s algorithm does, under the hood, not merely how we programmed question blocks and in what proportion we randomized participants to conditions, etc. E.g., does it use the equivalent of a random number generator to assign each participant as they enter the survey, or alternate participants as they come (first person to condition A, second to condition B, third to A, fourth to B, etc.)? We haven’t immediately found any documentation about this. Does anyone know?

How to allow "save and finish later" in my survey?

Save and Continue. Allow respondents to save and continue later.I click this in "Survey Options". But when I preview the survey, there is no such save and finish later option that I can click.

Group answers by date to analyze

Hello everyone 🙂I’m coming here to hopefully get some help on my survey ! I have created a survey that has been closed and finish earlier this month. At that moment, when launching the survey, I didn’t know I would need to launch the survey again next month. So my problem is that I would need to identify which respondents corresponds to which wave. Indeed, I want to use the same “Survey” so I will have all of my data in just one survey, so in one dashboard to compare the results. I identify some solutions :Create a new variable that I would call “Wave” and apply a value “Wave 1” to all of my respondens of June. And do the same with a value “Wave 2” when I will be launch the next wave. → But I am struggling to export data/creating value on Excel/importing data again. Using “End Date” to group the answers with my logical, and then I would be able to split all of my variables and questions when I will analyse my data in Qualtrics Dashboard. → I don’t know how to do it, to create multiple

How to use 'Transaction Date' in survey

Hi,I've set up an XM Directory Automation for importing contacts (= calls to our hotline) and distributing a transactional feedback survey.The date / time of the customer interaction (call to the hotline) gets imported into the XM Directory as "Transaction Date".I now would like to use the date of the transaction in the survey flow / survey text. For example: "Thanks for calling our service hotline on 23-07-2022!"Is there a way to access the 'Transaction Date' in the survey? I guess I have to set it up as Embedded Data?And if so, is there a way to only use the day (and not the entire time stamp including the time)?Thanks!Manfred

Hello, I hope someone can help me. When I look at the results of my survey, I always see error for 1 question. It’s a question where I ask someone’s age. They can fill it in freely. Yet I can’t see any answers. Why?

Adding Selected Choices Across Responses

Hi all,For context: we use a faculty evaluation survey where respondents use their student ID to authenticate into the survey, select X number of faculty that they want to evaluate, and loop&merge through our questions. Students are able to fill out the survey multiple times, as they are required to evaluate a certain number of faculty over the course of a semester.I’m looking for a way to add up how many choices that a single respondent has chosen over the course of their multiple submissions to one survey (ideally as piped text or embedded data). The hope would be to have an email trigger that sends the respondent the number of faculty that they’ve evaluated in total (in order to give them an idea of how close they are to the semester threshold).Thank you for any insights in advance!

Connect Qualtrics to Power BI

Hi, I have a requirement to connect to Qualtrics from Power BI.I cannot use API as that is not enabled in my account. Is there any other way that I could use to connect to qualtrics? I tried following this blog  but step 1 is not clear on how the URL and keys are generate.Any assistance on this will be appreciated. Thank you.

Why is Manage Public Report link now missing in Settings under Results of a survey?

I no longer see the option to share a public report in the settings of the Results tab… it’s a very helpful option for sharing results live with stakeholders. What happened to it?!

Redirect to another Qualtrics survey while keeping response ID

I have a survey and at the end of it I am redirecting it to a brand new Qualtrics survey. I need to be able to collect the response ID from the first survey and match it with the response ID from the second survey. So, I thought I could take the embedded data responseID and add it to the url that redirects it to the second survey. The redirect process works.My link looks like this: https://abcdef.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/GT_cVBYTRFefgZLYY? RID=${e://Field/ResponseID?format=urlencode} I’m not sure if this link is incorrect or I am just unable to export the now pulled over response ID. But when I compare the response IDs between the two surveys they do not match. I also tried to pull over an embedded field Center with the same process, a field that does not originally come with the survey and could not locate that field in the second survey at all.Am I supposed to add RID as an embedded variable in both surveys? I did try and it didn’t seem to work. Do you have any recommendations?

Scoring and URL redirect

Hello!I have a part of my study that is a test that I want to be able to show participants what they scored at the END of the study. I figured out how to do that quite easily but I also want to be able to redirect the participants back to a URL after the study. Is there any way to show them their scoring (including what they got right and wrong) and then get them redirected (say when they click to another screen)? I can’t find a way to use both simultaneously. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

Data Was There, Now It Isn't

We setup a survey a month ago. Initially, it worked great. We have a “Your Name” required field that captured people’s names. We go back to look at the results because we want to gather more, and now all records in the “Your Name” column show “N/A”.The only exception is a test submission I just sent in which did capture data in the “Your Name” field.See attached. Please advise.

I have uploaded 500 graphics in my library. And I have finished the qustions design. My survey will be different graphics plus same questions.Each participant will be assigned one graphic to finish the questions. How could I use Embedded data function to randomize the graphics? Prohibit screenshot during survey

I’m exhibiting the participants of my survey some data from which I later on ask a couple of questions. I want to avoid them taking screenshots of the data so they can’t have it at hand when answering the follow-up questions. Is there away to disable screenshots while taking the survey? Thanks!

Remove duplicate text entries to display only one in the side by side question

Hi everyone,I am a newcomer to JavaScript, I'm seeking guidance on coding a solution for a specific issue. I aim to design a series of name input fields within a block of my survey, where respondents can enter the same answer in the Text Entry fields across various questions. Calculation of Scores / Percentage Result at the end

Hi!Do anybody know, how to grab the value for the sum of possible points in the endresult of a scoring? I need to rebuild the 83.9% as a dashboard result. But in the dataset is just the “470” for the score.I can also grab the count of items, but this didn´t works as a denominator, because every question has a different score and I can´t use a fix number, because the count of questions changed by the display logic. So both values are dynamic in my case.And different score categories for each options don´t works, because there are hundreds of them. But Qualtrics can do this, like you see above. It´s sums up the possible points. But where are they or the result (if possible, as piped text) ? Thanks a lot!Clemens

Using Qualtrics in China

I will be starting a study focusing on participants in Mainland China and I’ve heard from my professor that Qualtrics seems to be unstable in China and is unreliable as a data collection method. I would like to ask for some insight from past and present users of Qualtrics in China. How is your experience using Qualtrics as a platform in China? Using API to enable or disable users

Has anyone tried enabling or disabling users using the API? We need to automate the process of disabling users who haven't been active for a year and enabling them again if they rejoin the organization. Additionally, we'd like to integrate this functionality with our service portal to handle requests automatically.

How do you calculate the customer effort score?

 Hi, I would like to know how you have calculated the CES. I find information such as: "it is the total number of customers who agree that their interaction was easy divided by the total number of responses. For example, if 65 out of 100 customers rate you with a 5, 6, or 7 on a 7-point scale, your Customer Effort Score (CES) would be 65."

Is there a way to Carry Forward responses for multiple questions?

I have a survey that will have different selections available based on the date selected. I then want to pass those selections on to a dropdown menu question. Constant Sum + Matrix Tables + Data Validation

Hello!  Question Type: Matrix TableMatrix Type: Constant Sum I would like to use data validation to ensure that the total sum of column 1 (orange) matches a value submitted earlier in the survey. I also need the total sum of column 2 (green) to match a different value submitted earlier in the survey. The total sum of column 3 (yellow) does not need validation and does not match any information submitted previously.  In all the posts I’ve read, I see people putting the piped text of the previous answer into the ‘must total’ data validation box. However, that doesn’t work in my situation because there are multiple totals. Is there any way to use data validation with multiple totals?
