Hi, I have a question on the Qualtrics dashboards - can a dashboard be exported (similar to a Qualtrics Survey File) and then imported into a new Qualtrics account? Thanks!

Is it possible to bold subject lines in email distributions?

I’ve read a few articles saying bolding the email subject line may result in higher open rates. I figured out how to format the subject lines using rich text editor (you need to start in email message, format the subject line, and switch the type of email to subject). However, the subject lines don’t come through any different when the email is sent. I tested on Outlook and Gmail. Does anyone know if it’s possible for recipients to receive formatted subject lines?

Select2 plugin is crashing

We are trying to embed select2 in a survey to enable users to keyword search through and select a large, but finite, number of possible text responses. specifically, we are trying to pre-load roughly ~27000 job titles into a survey question where respondents are asked to enter their job title and then select from a drop-down menu that appears with a manageable sub-set of possible options. So, we’re hoping to provide things like: elementary teacher secondary school teacher music teacher kindergarten teacher and then have each of those return to the search string “teacher” and enable the respondent to then pick the one that is closest to their occupation. Having drill down questions questions on separate pages

Hi, I’m working on a problem involving a drill down type of question. I would like to be able to have respondents pick their job title from a large list of possible occupations. The list is to large to fit on one menu. So my solution was to have a drill down set up where first respondents are asked what sector of the economy their job is in, then what level of training their job usually requires. This produces subsets of manageable menus that a respondent could choose from, like 10 to 20. However, to make this really work, I’d like to be able to have the drill down options on separate pages. How can I accomplish this? To put this in the language of the example used on the Qualtrics pages for drill down questions, I would like to have the R presented with the question:  What Model is your car….. page break What make is your car page break What year is your car….I have been told that this may require some custom javascript programming so I’m wondering if anyone has tackled this. importing responses: Responses could not be imported

I am trying to import response that were done by a 3rd party into Qualtrics. I built the survey and have the responses in a csv file. I mapped all the responses and yet every time the same fields are failing QID2, QID3, QID4, QID5, and endDate. Questions 2-5 are all Yes, No, or N/A. I’ve made sure they are formatted on the survey the same as the csv file. I’ve tried mapping them 1->Yes, 2 → No, etc… as auto suggested when I click into mapping values, I also tried Yes → Yes, No → No, etc… still got the “Responses could not be imported,” and I even tried it by not selecting mapping values, still got the same error response. The endDate field is also failing but I noticed it needs to be yyyyMMdd hh:mm:ss, so I will adjust that when I attempt my next import.

Can you round scoring calculations in embedded data?

Hi All,  I am adding some embedded data to calculate the percentage of a score. I use the following for the value of the embedded data field with the piped text in that calculation being the piped text for the scoring:$e{ ( gr://SC_emoKcRxLvqHeFTw/Score / 3 ) * 100 } Is there anything I can add here, so the results would be rounded when included in my report? I saw some folks discussing some things in the developer forums, but it was not quite in this context.  Thanks in advance for any guidance you have.

Accessibility - Adding Alt-Text to a Dynamic Theme

Currently there is no simple way through the admin interface to add alt text to a logo banner under the Themes tab. If you add an image from your Image Gallery that has a description, that description does not get assigned to the alt attribute for your new banner image. However, you can use Javascript to add an alt attribute to that image element. Under “General” settings for your theme, select the “edit” button underneath the “Footer” text field. Then select the “Source” button in the rich text editor. Paste the following snippet of code, then save. !

Insert image from screen capture question into ServiceNow ticket

I am using the ServiceNow task in a workflow to successfully generate a ServiceNow ticket upon receiving a survey response. The survey has a screen capture question in it and the primary purpose of the survey is for users to report issues with a site and then document the issues they captured which will then generate a servicenow ticket with all of the information the respondent has provided. I can get all fields to pipe recorded values into the ServiceNow ticket but cant seem to figure out a way to easily place the screen capture image results into the ticket description or attachments area. Id appreciate any help or advice on this. Thank you.

Accessing open text field with auto-complete turned on

I’m currently using the new auto-complete feature in connection with an open text box. In my setting, participants report their supervisors name which is then encrypted and the original inputs are deleted afterwards using the script from this thread. Because I cannot risk having typos, participants need to pick the name from a list, instead of a free text entry. As each organization has more than 100+ supervisors, turning on auto-complete is good compromise.   If I just use the regular text box without auto-complete, everything works fine. However, if I turn on the auto-complete feature, my javascript the name, but is not able to permanently change it. Editing a Question in Library

Is there a way to edit a question in the library and have changes pushed to any survey that uses that question? Specific Context:I have a multiple choice question block with a large number of courses listed in it.  This block shows up multiple times in one survey and in a few other surveys.  I’d like to be able to update the question block in one central location and have any changes pushed to the surveys that have that question.  Is that possible?

Option logic code for piping selected choices across multiple questions into a matrix table?

I'm fielding a survey that asks respondents about their various medical conditions. The conditions themselves are split across eight questions, one for each condition category, and look vaguely like this. There are 128 total conditions across the eight questions.I’d like to do a follow-up matrix table question that pipes in all selected choices from across the eight questions, not including the “I do not have any of these conditions” exclusive statements. However, I don’t know the specific JS option logic code that would accomplish this. The code for piping in selected choices provides this; however, it still pipes in the exclusive statements.${q://QID99/ChoiceGroup/SelectedChoices}(I’m assuming eight rows of JS is what I’d need for the table rows: I know that carry forward can’t do this, nor will manually pulling in each condition and applying display logic, since I’d need to have >100 answer choices in the matrix table.)Can this be done?

Disabling or changing the color of certain tick boxes

Hi, I’m collecting some network data. I have created a question that uses piped text from an earlier question to make a (max) 5 x 5 grid of the previous responses. I want to disable the possibility of ticking the box between two same responses (piped from the previous question). If disabling is too tricky, alternatively, I can just change the color of these boxes to grey. (See the attached picture; the boxes I want to alter are in red rectangle.) I have looked into changing the color of a tick box but thius far have only runned into the error ‘Invalid JavaScript! You cannot save until you fix all errors: Unexpected token.’ Anyone can help me out?

Matrix custom validation force response for all but "Other" option

I want to add forced response to a matrix question for all options other than “Other”. I’m able to achieve this through custom validation but applying this to every question is a strenuous task and also increase loading time. Is there a way to use the following code that disables the next button until all but other option is selected. Can I create Van Westendorp and Conjoint Study in same project?

Hi, Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, but I was not able to locate it. I want to use the report feature in Qualtrics which presents the VVD Study charts etc. and I also want to see my Conjoint detailed results (like conjoint analysis, simulator etc.). But I am unable to add a VVD study inside my project which is setup as a conjoint study. Is this possible to do? To have both these different “Project Types” in the same survey? Thanks in advance!!

Custom Button In Header

I have created a custom button in the header of my survey that specifies “I need assistance completing the survey”When someone presses the button, it should take them to a separate page that informs them that someone will contact them if they enter their email and/or phone number. I don’t know how to make the button do that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Having Response to One Question Auto-populate the response to another on the same page?

I have three multiple choice questions on one page.1) I Accept Condition A (accept/reject)2) I Accept Condition B (accept/reject)3) Accept all / reject allWhat I want is when someone clicks Accept All on (3), for "Accept" to become automatically selected on (1) and (2) (with the opposite being true when Reject All is selected on (3)). From a UX perspective, it would be helpful if pressing a selection on (3) visibly changed the answers to (1) and (2), e.g. the bubbles next to them becomes selected. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this?

Embed data using external data reference

I was hoping to use an external data reference in a query string to allow a survey to match that to a list and then bring in that data into a dashboard so that we could then use that data to filter dashboards and the like, but everything I’ve tried doesn’t seem to pull in the embedded data. Any ideas?

Code not working once I leave the "Look and Feel" page

Hi there, I am trying to implement a couple solutions to my survey using code within the “header” and “footer” text boxes in the “look and feel” section. When I input the code in there and hit apply and run through the preview within that section everything appears to be working perfectly (the changes were to remove the footer on select pages and to have a back/next button at the top of the page). However, once I leave the “look and feel” section to return back to the survey builder and I hit preview to see these changes, they are no longer working. I return back to the “look and feel” section only to find that the code is gone and hasn’t been saved or applied. I hit apply and save every time I make a change but it doesn’t seem to be working. What am I missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated - thank you!! Jay
