Dear all,

I would like to apply a advanced randomization for blocks that I can not seem to figure out. 

 

I have 120 blocks including:

  • 1 picture per block (12 different pictures in total)
  • 1 text per block (9 different texts + 1 no text in total)
  • all possible combinations of the above

Each participant is only going to see 12 blocks (i.e. the 12 different pictures). I want to make sure they do not see duplicates (e.g. the same picture or same text) and preferable and a random order. Does anybody have any idea how I can make this work?

Use Randomizer element of survey flow. Please refer below support link and customize randomizer as per your requirement.

you can create 120 embedded field set each field value as 0 at the beginning of survey. Just like below SS.

Now set randomizer and create individual element for each embedded field as mentioned below. In the below randomizer I have created 5 elements based on above 5 embedded field and passing value as 1. Then below I have updated the randomizer present =2 and checked evenly present elements check box to get each element equal number of time and one respondent will see only Concept at a time.

 

Then applied the branch logic on each block. So if randomizer will pick C1=1 and C3=1, then it will skip C2 and show C1 and C3. Try this in dummy survey. Then apply on main version.
