Anonymous Survey Responses? | XM Community
Skip to main content

Hi -- I am new to the Qualtrics platform and curious if there is a way to distribute a suervey to a large audience, keep responses anonymous, but also be able to track if a survey taker has already completed the survey?

My initial thought is to add a field for respondents to include their email with a disclaimer that it will only be used to track responses and not considered when viewing results.

Curious if anyone in this community has any recommendations. The survey will be used to capture a vote for a large group of people but we’d like everyone to only have the ability to vote once.

Thanks!

Create an embedded data and name it “CustomerID”

Populate all leads with normal sequence of number like 1,2,3,4…. etc

In the anonymous link pipe the query string variable at the end.

Even though the survey is anonymous this will help to track the respondent. In principle we cannot say its anonymous but technically the link is anonymous.

Hi @SarahCarroll ,

How do you intend to share the survey URL with this audience? If you already have their email addresses and intend to distribute it via email using Qualtrics, then the survey can be set up in such a way that the system will track who has responded without linking any identifying information to the responses. Then when you are ready to send a reminder, it will only be sent to non-respondents.

Otherwise, if you’re sharing a single anonymous link with the audience, you can apply the first security setting below to prevent people from accessing more than once from the same device.

Your initial thought is the best approach with a combination of authenticator.
