Autocomplete filter without page breaks | XM Community

Hello everyone,

I am new here but I have been looking for a while now for a solution to the following problem.

I have a question in the survey of the text entry type (single line with autocomplete on that draws from a supplementary data source). It has display logic based on a previous question that asks respondents how many items they use. They can select between 1 and 5, and then my text entry question asks them to choose the most used, 2nd most used and so on with a maximum of 5 questions for most used. The SDS has 700+ entries. I would like to make it so they can’t choose the same item twice. I know this can be done with either custom validation or the filter option in the “manage autocomplete”, however, it seems that I need to have a page break between these questions. I have disallowed free response.

My question is how can I keep the “most used” questions in one page and make it so respondents cannot choose the same answer twice, without page breaks? Is it even possible? Thanks in advance, let me know if I haven’t clearly explained my situation.

Hello @VelislavR

Currently, within the system settings, it's not feasible to have both questions on a single page if you've piped the answer from the first question to the second. However, you can consider exploring JavaScript solutions to achieve this.
